Excellent food, generous portions, and all set in a lovely historical building. Food came out borderline too quickly for me, but that’s a matter of personal preference. Service was very good, but not quite excellent. Forgetting dessert plates, drinks coming a bit slowly, and a bit of general server scarcity are why I took off a star from the service category. Still, very much 5 stars overall.

Our visit to Nate’s on Marsh was for our 2nd anniversary. This is a very chic and cozy restaurant. We ordered the burrata and bread, which was wonderful and the burrata was very fresh.

I had an outstanding dinner with a friend at Nate’s. We were greeted upon arrival and waited less than 5 minutes for the table. Our server, Michael acknowledged us rather quickly to take our drink order. We shared the polpo which was perfectly cooked. We each ordered the filet special and the meat was perfect and cut like butter. Desserts were also fantastic. I can’t wait to return.

I had such a lovely evening with my fiancé ! The food was delicious!! Not one complaint about the food or service. Got a little rowdy with some of the locals towards the end. The head manager that evening or even the owner not to sure, wasn’t trying to get them to quite down either. So it did put a damper on our night considering we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk. We ended up leaving shortly after. The food is DELICIOUS but be prepared if you go on a busy weekend you might have to deal with the drunken locals as well.

First time here and it was outstanding. It was nice to be warmly greeted by Nate as we walked in the door. The signature cocktail list is very good (I recommend the Martini di Raddi) as is the wine selection. For appetizers we had the Polpette (meatball) and potato and leek soup. The soup was excellent but the meatball was a level beyond that — the best single meatball serving we’ve ever had — it’s large and can easily be shared. For entrees we ordered the Cacio e Pepe and Mushroom Carbonara. We loved both. The Cacio is a little lighter fare — perfect. Our service was spot on throughout our dinner. The vibe in the restaurant is just our style — nice energy without being too noisy. We will definitely return.

I’ve had quiet dinners at Nate’s which is always special but last weekend we had a big crowd on the patio and it couldn’t have been lovelier. Organizing it with Nate was easy and on the day of the event Bryan managed everything with ease (at least it looked like that to us), and Keala did a wonderful job taking care of the bar and so much else. We all had a wonderful time on that gorgeous and cool patio.

We held our son’s rehearsal dinner at Nate’s on Marsh. It was amazing. Nate was amazing, and so was the entire staff. I highly recommend this place if you’re in SLO.

We went to Nate’s on Marsh for the first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We were greeted right away by the hostess and seated immediately in the intimate “Champagne room.” She was inviting and professional. Our server, Kelsey, was kind and knowledgeable about the menu and drink options. She was the perfect mix between attentive and allowing us our space to enjoy our meal. The food was absolutely fantastic! The owner, Nate, was present and walked around to tables greeting the guests. You can feel his passion for his staff and what he does. We will definitely be going back and will be sharing our experience with our friends!
