came across this stand at cali vibes and, being a hot chicken enthusiast, decided to give it a go. I went with the sammich, which was 22 dollars, insane. but when you gotta eat, you gotta eat. ok, chicken was good portion size, the breading on the chicken was on the heavy side. Coleslaw was plain, neither sweet nor vinegary, bread was plain white, not tasteful, sauce was just spicy mayo. some parts of the chicken were just nerve ending, which were not edible. For the price to portion ratio, you could get away with it when doing big venues, but taste wise, just meh, nothing spectacular. Unfortunately, I would not recommend it.

Sandwhichs was very good, love that you can adjust the spicyness but I also think they could do with adding a salad or something to the menu, cold slaw inside is good but I’m looking for well rounded meals typically. No tomatoes no lettuce no healthier sides.

Nash & Proper is my favorite place to satisfy my flavorful spicy chicken sandwich craving (no other place compares). Staff’s very friendly and the location is convenient. The only complaint is that their website presents confusing hours of operation, but confirmed they close at 9pm on Saturdays. I decided not to patronize the restaurant on several occasions due to thinking they closed much earlier.

I USED to LOVE this place!! I don’t know if it’s new owners or management or what, but I’m so disappointed. I moved down to Anaheim and haven’t been in a year. I just went today, mind you this is the ONLY place in Sacramento I was genuinely looking forward to eating at. I was thinking about it for a month at least. We ordered 2 orders of chicken tenders and one sammich and ended up throwing away almost all of the tenders. I made it through the sammich with a lot of ranch, but it tasted like they cooked the chicken the day before or maybe in the morning and then tried to refry them and serve them as fresh, but you literally couldn’t even chew through the tenders at all. I absolutely hate wasting food. I’m so heartbroken and let down. I hate leaving negative reviews, but they definitely lost a customer today.

It makes me sad to leave a bad review for one of the best chicken places i’ve been to. If you can, visit the Davis location at local kitchen for WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY better food. I visited this Sacramento location about 3 times after trying them in Davis and I will say this locations food quality is terrible. The chicken is ALWAYS overcooked, the fries are ALWAYS overly crunchy and overcooked. They give super small portions with barely any sauce on them. The davis location??? AMAZING!!! HUGE portions, sooo much sauce and seasoning and the chicken and fries are always cooked ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Maybe the Sac location needs new kitchenware because I know nash and proper has amazing chicken and flavors, its unfortunate this location doesnt.

Order was missing items, tenders were dry and chewy, thigh was equally dry and chewy. One of the chicken containers had grease stains that appeared to come from the outside. The fries were limp and under seasoned and also contained blackened bits of unknown origins. The extra orders of pickles and greens were half full 8oz containers. The best part was probably the seasoning on the chicken but not the chicken itself. It was super expensive for really weak portions and no quality control. You can go to your favorite grocery store and get better fried chicken than this.

I had the seasoned crinkle cut fries and macaroni sides. It was the best macaroni I have had. Well worth the price! Very nice service and everything was packaged incredibly to take back for lunch.

Amazing chicken sandwiches, sides, pickled slaw, chicken to-go. Heat comes in ranges from none to blazing hot. Authentic hot spicy chicken, perfectly done. Right amount of heat, plenty to eat for the serving sizes. Come check them out, you will not be disappointed, amazing food.
