The sushi was so delicious!!! The service was extraordinary. Our server placed the napkin in our laps, constantly checked in on us, and my boyfriend and her spoke in Japanese which I was so fascinated with. Definitely coming back. We ordered so much sushi I couldn’t take a picture because in the moment of every bite so just mmmmmmmm. I’m still tasting everything. Drunk Japanese beer and plum wine. Great little date night vibe. Highly recommend.

Updating my review from a year ago. Nara Sushi has the best and most authentic sushi in Virginia Beach. I come here almost weekly. The owners remember all their recurring guests. It’s really a home like environment there. Most of the customers are regulars so you start to meet others. They know us and our extended family. The really make us feel welcomed every time we come.

The most amazing little treasure in Virgina, perfect customer service, plating design like from a show. Super fresh sushi, they even give you lemon water for your hands after the fish, wonderfully thoughtful. Prices are reasonable as well, and they make your birthday special. Team of hard workers, 100% will go back and recommend!

Amazing sushi! Came out of town for a birthday… the homemade chili paste is sooooo good and super spicy!! Loved every single roll and the wasabi shrimp dumplings were also delicious. Service is excellent as well!! Great experience.

Nara is very cozy and quaint. Upon arriving you get greeted warmly with a smile, and the service is always exceptionally curteous. They have an incredible selection of sushi. And when I say this is ACTUALLY the best sushi we’ve had in VA Beach it’s because we’ve actually been to numerous places to compare and this one takes the cake. The flavor is unmatched.

Perfect Japanese restaurant! We have visited Japan and this is the real deal! Eric really knows his way around fish! We ordered the chefs choice dinner and each course was as appetizing as the last! We will continue to visit this restaurant every time we are in the mood for sushi!
