Look, this place was amazing! The food was amazing! Our waiter, I can’t remember his name but the shorter guy…he was sooo fun! Gave out hugs! Felt like we had all met him before! Best experience! Now, the bottle we bought for $79 was so good, we decided to look for a bottle online to take back to Chicago…it was under $20…I didn’t care too much for THAT markup but still a great experience!

Good date night spot, wonderful service – for which I give it 3 stars. The restaurant is trying hard to appeal to those looking for Italian authenticity. Close to the beach. We had heard great things and we went to see what the fuss was all about with $35+ pasta dishes. I asked if there were vegetarian options and we were told that they can make so many things vegetarian, not to worry!

Top 3 I’ve been to in my many years of traveling…possibly #1 but tough to say. Definitely the best lamb chops I’ve ever had. Service from Juan Carlos was top notch and fun. Ambiance was perfection. Comfortable upscale Italian restaurant in a perfect setting. Cant wait to come back to Manhattan Beach again just to come here.

We had a reservation for 6 people at 8.30pm, but decided to show up earlier around 8-8.15, hoping to get seated earlier. Nonetheless, we had to wait until 8.45pm at least to get our table. I had heard good things about this place, so I brought my parents visiting from Italy, which turned out to be a bad choice. Once seated we got some Fiuggi water without even being asked. At the check i found out that each of these 1L bottles were 15$ each… 15$ for a bottle of water which we didn’t even ask for?? Food was okay, but absolutely not worth the price. The meatballs were pretty chewy, almost tasting old. The rest of the food was okay, but incredibly expensive. The atmosphere was not great either. It was probably the noisiest and loudest restaurant i’ve been. We had a small table but we couldn’t talk to each others due to the loud noise around. Definitely not worth the money in my opinion

The mozzarella is to die for and the truffle gnocchi flawlessly smooth and rich. All of the housemade pasta was a treat and all portions very hearty. The restaurant was busy so the staff was hustling yet managed to provide wonderful and personal service. The wine list is thoughtfully curated and is easy to pair. The outdoor setup is comfortable and properly distances.

Love this place! The best Italian food I’ve have had in LA. I highly recommend this restaurant. Dario, co-owner, made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Although I fully enjoyed everything we ordered, my only regret is eating too much of the antipasti and not order more of the primi and secondi. I recommend coming with 4 people so you can sample more items on the menu. I’ll definitely be heading back soon.

Great great customer service. The manager shook our hands when we arrived we sat down. Juan i believe is his name took care of us the whole night. Once a better table became available they asked us if we wanted to move or were okay there. The restaurant is small but very romantic and elegant. lights are dimmed. Food is good. A lot of in menu contains seafood (of course being by the beach) but they help me find something without seafood and it was also delicious. But what we liked the most was the service.

This is by far my new favorite restaurant that I have visited in all of my travels. First, the ambiance is super beautiful and relaxed but upscale. We sat outside and there was beautiful greenery everywhere. Such a strange thing to say but we noticed first how much we loved their cutlery and cups and plates. They were just so extremely nice. We ordered the crispy golden rice ball with ground beef on the inside for appetizer, the chef’s special menu of swordfish for entree, and then the chef’s signature dessert which was an amaretto almond ice cream with a cherry vanilla ice cream fruit and a chocolate sauce. OMG my mouth was in Heaven. Also we had the Tuscan red blend for wine selection. Me and my friend split all the food which was more than enough for the both of us. The rice ball was delicious and huge! Super golden and crispy with such soft yellow/saffron rice and I love rice balls to begin with so I’m picky when it comes to this. It was beyond delicious. Next the swordfish was magnificent! Of coarse you are a block away from Manhattan beach so seafood is a must. The swordfish came with an incredible sauce and olives, red roasted peppers, corn, broccoli, potatoes, and other veggies. The sauce and a little bit of each veggie with a bite of the fish was amazing. It was super soft and tender. The olives were also super delicious which sometimes with certain olives you can get not the best tasting ones-these were great! And then the dessert is what made the night!! The amaretto ice cream with almond crust was what put us over the top in love with this place. Also I actually super enjoyed my Tuscan red blend wine which was super smooth. Our waiter who totally has a superman look-was also so sweet and charming from Germany with a mix of a German and Irish accent. He explained that the restaurant was called Nando because it was the chef and the other owner’s dog’s name. This restaurant is just so amazing and every time I am in LA I will be going out of my way to come here. Such a cute vibe off the beach. Our meal with 2 glasses of wine, appetizer, entree, and dessert came out to $140.80. WELL WORTH THIS.
