Food is good. Line was long but they moved it along fast. Sort of lunch line style at a buffet. The chicken was good as well as the sides. Not a fan of the sweet potato pie though. The inside isn’t going to blow your mind either. If you’re looking for good soul food then you can find it here. Staff are friendly. Even with a long line we didn’t have to wait too long. Plate prices were reasonable as well for the amount of food. Try it out.

I wasn’t a fan of the fried chicken however the sides were immaculate. the mac and cheese is too good!!! I only wished that they gave you warm cornbread and warm peach cobbler and this place is on the pricier side. Besides that, for the most part everything was pretty good. The staff was awesome and I enjoyed dining in! I recommend the catfish, smothered porch chop, bbq rib, MAC AND CHEESE, yams.

Loved the cabbage and the Mac and cheese, The slaw was to die for as was the potato salad Pork chops were cooked hot and now and delicious. The pre-cooked fried chicken though was lacking. Very tiny drumstick and thigh two bites each at these prices you would assume you’d get your fill. But overall great experience will be back..

Visiting from Greensboro and decided to try this spot while in town. 10/10 ! Food was amazing. The line was out the door but service was quick. Their yams and cornbread were top tier. Give them a try definitely.

The smothered pork chops, fried chicken, and smothered chicken were all delicious! The candied yams and macaroni weren’t bad but didn’t taste homemade. I was expecting homemade but it was my first time so I was unsure if it would be or not. Our only dislikes were the deserts. The crust on the sweet potato pie didn’t taste cooked and cake was very dense. The texture of the cake was spongy and very thick and the it was an inadequate frosting and filling to cake ratio. The layers cut in halves or thirds might remedy this. The cake was not a soft and moist texture like we were expecting. But again, it was our first time trying and we were unsure of what to expect. We will be back to try more soon.

I was referred here by a friend. I had a taste for fish and he recommended this spot. I was greeted and welcomed by the staff . The service was fast and i was able to figure out what dish i wanted with ease. I just came for the cat fish this visit, but i look forward to patronizing again and trying something new. I would recommend if you want a soul food experience!

First time trying Nana Morrison’s as a new soul food spot in the area. There were a lot of positives including the clean atmosphere, great customer service with fast and friendly staff, and some pretty good food. I had the large veggie plate which are huge portions of 3 sides and a bread (very filling). The sweet potatoes were delicious, Mac n chz was good, and potato salad was creamy with big chunks of potatoes. Would have given 5 stars, but I didn’t care for the desserts. The banana pudding was bland and didn’t taste homemade. I would def come back and try the meats, other sides, and a different dessert. If you haven’t been, give them a try!

Visited after church one Sunday. The food is fresh, authentic and very reminiscent of my grandmother’s Sunday meals. The staff was pleasant and seemed very polite. Will definitely visit again.

Food is great, prices are high they charge $5.00 per extra side. Very small establishment. I recommend go earlier in the day to beat the crowd. The food is amazing. They do need an attendant to keep the dinning area clean.
