Local jewel. Must go in your visit to Ashland. Everything in the menu is incredible. Fresh, flavorful and original. They mount the plates in thoughtful way, great for instagram enthusiasts. Good drinks, variety of options. The menu changes constantly, but you’re in for a treat!

We wandered into NAMA during our stay in Ashland. The raw bar menu is well curated and good for sharing. We ordered almost the entire menu and everything was so delightfully delicious, highlighting the freshness of the ingredients with clever infusion of asian flavors. The oysters from northwest are briny and packed with flavors. Also highly recommend the tiger prawns, King salmon, and poke bowl. But you really can’t go wrong with anything. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

SO good. Going to try out the sister restaurant next door when we go back.

Wonderful oye ayer and raw bar snuck away off a little non- description alley. Impeccably prepared nibbles of a very high caliber. Pricey for a small town but absolutely worth it. Nothing at all small town about the food or service. Elevated experience to be sure. No tables- only a bar. Great!

Practically a cliche of a high end restaurant. Extremely limited menu , more so than what we read on line in advance. Very small plates Four thin slices of sashimi was a plate. Hand-rolls the size of my thumb. Food was good but hardly spectacular. Sushi chef quite self impressed. I’ll not be returning

I stumbled on Nama during a long road trip and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The quality, freshness and presentation of the seafood was stellar and I left feeling satiated and content. Making a point of visiting again on my next trip through.

As I sit here devouring yet another crab + lil shrimp roll after 18 oysters, I can’t help but close my eyes in such delight over the sophisticated, beautifully complex flavors of Nama. Make sure to chat with Luke about his ingredients and thought process; you’ll instantly understand how special this place is. Kelsey (drinks extraordinaire) adds such a warm touch to this spot!

We are foodies and love trying restaurants with fresh and unique food. Yes, the seafood is high quality but you need to know what type of place this is before you go. Instead of dining tables and chairs there are only hard stools around a bar. It was not at all comfortable and made it hard to have conversation. But the strangest thing is the menu is extremely limited. This is a great place for appetizers and drinks before going somewhere else for dinner. Two of us shared 6 oysters, a small crab sandwich, and each had a rice bowl but were still hungry even though our bill was over $100. To make things even more awkward, the wait staff were not very attentive and we had to signal them several times for service. Not sure the reason for bad service when the whole restaurant only seats around 16 people around the bar. On top of it, one person in our party does not eat seafood so I called ahead and asked if they could accommodate. Josh was super helpful and said they could pull Wagyu short ribs from their sister restaurant next door, Mas. (Josh works at Mas). Our waiter told us we could not have short ribs so she was left to eat a salad and some rice with simple veggies. Nama feels like an afterthought compared to Mas. We couldn’t even find where to enter this restaurant as there is no name listed outside on the street. Overall kind of a let down let down when we expected to have a special birthday celebration.

This is absolutely my most favorite restaurant in Ashland. The intention and care that goes into every single bite is incredible, and every dish I’ve had is out of the world. Love the cocktails, and best oysters too!

If I could give Nama a Michelin Star, I would. Luke has crafted an extraordinary experience that cannot be topped. Not only has he mastered the art of presentation, but he has elevated the world of cuisine with his profound tastes and pairings. Would highly recommend.
