Food is good, but it isn’t what I remember hibachi from Nagoya tasting. It was a tragic mistake to close the original restaurant and bring it back by dividing it into two small “restaurants” with no sit down in this one and expect people to pay as if we are sitting there having shrimp flung into our mouths and some nice man is making jokes.

Food is great, accuracy of our orders have always been great, going to pick up the order is where I seem to feel a little less satisfied with. Not in anyway putting down the establishment they really do a fine job. I’m just not sure if they’re short handed and overwhelmed or maybe I just seem to order at bad times but it’s the pick up part that brings my rating down just a bit.

We enjoyed the atmosphere The service was wonderful. The food was excellent. We had 2 small kids and 2 adults. The waiter was so kind and the cook made the kids a cute orange bear.

Gotta say I was pretty disappointed the first week that they opened the food was great everything was fresh as their opening progressed. However, I did go back on multiple occasions. The food quality went down exponentially my Calamari tasted like it was preheated in a Microwave. My hibachi steak dinner was cold the vegetables tasted like the frozen ones from Walmart. This is not a $30 worthy purchase for a single person yeah, the portion size is great with soup, ginger salad, Rice…that you have to pay extra for on top of your normal meal for Fried Rice but what is the point when the food just tastes mediocre. These are not the Hibachi chefs they used to employee but teens working their first job very disappointing.

So missed Nagoya tonight we went to check it out. Getting a reservation was very easy. Once we arrived server’s were very attentive, order was taken nicely. Only problem was we ordered everything all at the same time, it came out at the same time. So next time which will be quite often we’ll first orfer drinks then appetizers then main meal. However the food and service were awesome. We really missed the hot sake, it was so good. Can’t wait to go back.

The 3-star is because we didn’t know there was shrimp with the meal. You also get a salad, soup, rice, it’s a lot of food . My husband has a shellfish allergy. We ordered at 7:00pm, the pick up time was 7:45p. No dine in available but in a nice night, no rain, there is some general outside seating people could use. Everywhere had a wait, good problem for them to have! The food is really good but we need to figure something else out for dinner for him and he had to take Benadryl. We didn’t notice we didn’t have silverware until we got back to our room in the hotel and the pick up time was later than anticipated.

Food was pure salt, fillet was overcooked, yum yum very garlicky and the Fried Rice was nasty. We literally threw $50 worth of food away when we got home not even four bites in the both of us. This is not your old Nagoya, I promise

Terrible for the price. Food was cold, vegetables were soggy and taser bad. Rice tasted like plastic. Small amount of steak. I did not see Hibachi Chefs cooking food. Looked like high school kids following a recipe or prepared ingredients.

I don’t think the owner gets the concept of “express” hibachi. If I’m not sitting down to watch the little show while they make my food or even staying in the restaurant then the price shouldn’t be the same as a sit down hibachi. A good example of hibachi express is Miyabi Jr. Down in Fayetteville, NC. Best hibachi express I’ve ever been was Miyabi Jr. $10-$14 a bowl unless it was a more expensive item like filet steak bowl. That’s how you run an “express” hibachi

The nostalgia is back and it tastes oh so good- takes me back to days of hollister shirts to much cologne and torn jeans – smaller menu with all the flavor! Welcome back Nagoya!
