I had a wonderful experience on the dinner train. It was a pleasant train ride and something different to do for a date night. The food is decent. I wouldn’t mind to see a few different options that being said what I had tasted fine. The salad was good and I really liked the pimento cheese appetizer. The chicken was good and mashed potatoes were good. I don’t really enjoy mixed vegetables so they were just okay for me.The chocolate cake was amazing

Loved the whole experience! Service and food were all wonderful. My only suggestion would be to break down the final bill between the cost of the meal and the train ride. Expecting to tip on the entire ticket price is a bit much. We just had to kind of guess how much the meal was worth.

This was a birthday gift for my mom. It was a very nice experience. Met a lovely couple at our table. However, the food did not live up to the hype. I ordered the extra charcuterie plate, which was very nice. The salad had black wilted lettuce in it. The entrees were cold. My mom had the prime rib, which was a huge slab of cold meat that was not appetizing at all. She couldn’t eat it. I had what was supposed to be a pork chop. Again it was cold and very small with a lot of fat. The vegetables were obviously a frozen mix. The apple dumpling was not a dumpling. It looked like it was scooped from a tray of apple cobbler. It was nothing like the pictures they show. My chocolate cake was dry. Food was very disappointing and we had to eat sandwiches after we got back to our hotel room. If you are wanting a unique experience then I would recommend the ride. Just keep in mind that the food leaves a lot to be desired.

We booked our dinner 3 months in advance. It was amazing. We had two couples that shared a table. Dining area was beautiful. Our server, Emily, did a great job. We had the prime rib. It was yummy. All the food was great.

What a wonderful experience. We arrived about 30 minutes prior boarding which was 5pm. Nice large waiting area at train station with many tables and chairs and full service bar. Quite expensive however for drinks. Two Manhattan’s were $35.

My husband and I went on the Old Kentucky Dinner Train as part of our trip to the KY Bourbon Trail. It was so much fun and the food was delicious. We both had the pecan pork chop and honestly it was one of the best pork chops I have ever had! The rest of the food was also great, as was the tea and coffee! I highly recommend if you I are ever in the area!

We felt like special princesses (even though it was the Mother’s Day brunch excursion). I had failed to read the email that said we could get there early but the staff was so accommodating and allowed us to board early because mom is elderly and slower than her younger peers (she’s 95). Our waitress, Lindsey, was prompt and courteous and made our trip very smooth and problem-free! What a great memory we made!
