We have passes this place countless times and finally decided to give it a try. It’s one of those places you shouldn’t judge by it’s cover. The food and prices are good! The coffee fills flowed without a beat, which made my husband happy. Fresh pico de Gallo, homemade flour tortillas and red sauce…all add to the pleasant breakfast experience.

Awesome atmosphere. Frog legs in particular were a huge hit. They’d bring out a fresh tray and by the time you made it from the table to buffet line, you’d be lucky if there was a half a leg left. Fried shrimp and oysters were superb. All food was good. Staff was super friendly. A little on the pricy side, but not too bad. Well worth it. Will DEFINITELY be back

Unfortunately, this place has gone down hill. We went today, 4 adults and 1 child. When we arrived there was only one other table there, and were already receiving their food when we arrived. However, once we ordered, we still had to wait about 45-50 minutes for our food to come out, meanwhile people that came in after us were receiving their food. Then, when our food came out, the chicken fried chicken that was ordered at the table couldn’t even be eaten because it had raw batter, and the chicken itself was cold. The waitress never came back to check on us, so different occasions we had to get up ourselves to get items that were needed at the table. Once we checked out, the waitress asked how everything was, when I explained that the chicken was cold and the batter was still raw, she laughed. I told her I was serious and it was still on the table. I asked her to remove it from the ticket since it was unable to be eaten, again she laughed and said she couldn’t do that. I asked to speak with a manager and she said there wasn’t one. So we paid for our food, even the items we didn’t eat, but unfortunately this visit was enough to make it our last

Generous portions. Items were apparently made to the order because it was a significant time from ordering to food hitting the table. Not bad, just do not expect fast food quick as this is a sit down restaurant. Building is old and could use an overall face-lift, but that would reflect in higher pricing. Currently, pricing is a good value considering food quality and portion size.

Probably the best seafood this side of the Sabine river,fried frog legs was excellent with oyster shrimp and fish the coleslaw and potatoe salad was awesome I highly recommend this restaurant.
