Muu Shabu Menu – Edmond, OK

Type : Hot pot restaurant

Location : Edmond, OK

Shabu Shabu. A Japanese hotpot dish of thinly sliced meat and vegetables boiled in water or dashi broth with no additional flavor added since the meat and vegetables are dipped in the sauce before eating.

The dish gets its name from the Japanese onomatopoeia “shabu shabu” meaning “swish swish”, which describes the light swishing of the meat in the simmering broth. When the meat is dipped in the boiling water, the extra fat melts away, making it lighter than regular cooked meat, and a rather healthy meat dish.

Based on 299 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.4 stars. Price $$

This was my first time here. I did enjoy and had a very good time at this place. They have amazing broths, and very good options for meat and veggies. There are spicy and non-spicy versions and spicy is more flavorful.

Food is great, service, not so much! The lady seemed to be doing everything herself for the guests. She did have an attitude towards us for some reason. I know she was working hard, but it would make our experience more enjoyable if she were kinder.

This was our first time here and it was so good. My friend and myself were confused how things out but the servers were nice and helpful. We did the All You Can Eat, about $27 per person. I do believe a reservation may have to be made first. Food was really yummy and we had a good time there. Thank you!!

The menus are confusing, asking for assistance led to more confusion.

Paid $75.00 for me and my fiancé. I ordered a Traditional soup, while she got a Miso. What I received was the most bland excuse for a soup meal ever. I was seriously interested in just throwing the meat on the griddle; I mean you can’t convince me the traditional isn’t just water. The Miso was fine, but the Wagyu was completely ruined by whatever medium you used to cook it. No real seasoning, no garlic, nothing to enhance the flavor, just mushrooms, carrots, and cabbage. Not to mention my griddle evidently was broken, so they had to swap mine out 3 times before I could even begin to cook, but by then my fiancé was already started on her second bowl. Definitely won’t be returning; unbelievably overpriced and I’m very disappointed.

My husband and I had dinner there yesterday. The food was good with the Chinese broth and sesame sauce. However the staff was not attentive and there were only two waitresses serving, which was especially not appealing when you had all you can eat. Because it made it hard to order the second round. We had to wait long to order each time. And the appetizers we ordered at the very beginning were served the last. I wound sincerely suggest the restaurant either hiring more people or offering self-service options like ordering on your phone. I will not go back unless I really crave the food again. Luckily in okc there are other hotpot places which offer good food as well as good service.

I feel torn about this place. It was clean. Service was pretty quick. Server was very nice. Although, there was a lack of information conveyed which seems pretty critical for this type of experience.

Wow!! This is the first time I have ever wished I could rate a place higher than 5 stars.

I very much enjoy Muu Shabu, I love the variety of soup broths they have, their meats are delicious and cut very thin. Their garlic fried rice is fantastic. I like that you just go on your own or with a group of friends with the bar system. I like that each individual person has their own soup. I will keep going back .

The food is pretty good. The service went well. If you enjoy the experience of preparing your own meal for fun, then you might like this setup. The price is kind of expensive. After an hour, you might find yourself just a little bit hungry
