Great place to start the first day of my Long Beach Island trip! This restaurant has amazing food, friendly staff, clean facilities, and a fun, warm, and inviting energy. I had an omelet with home fries and a chocolate milkshake. Amy was our waitress and she was extremely kind, funny, and attentive. Mustache Bill’s has held an important place in my families’ lives, and I am so happy that it is now a part of mine.

3.5 Stars. Took a day trip with friends. It was raining so we went here to wait for the sky to clear so we can go out with our boats. Food was okay. Basic. Nothing Special. Foodwise.. hust don’t expect anything much. Service was very good though. Very attentive. All the servers were nice.

From start to finish it was a S*** show. We were a group of 4. Told 20 minute wait to be seated. After 20 minutes I went in to check and was told another 20 minutes. We finally sat down and our waitress who was clearly overwhelmed didn’t come by for about 10 minutes. I don’t blame her at all, she was working hard but it was obvious they needed more staff. We got our coffees and drinks and finally put in our food orders. We waited another 45 minutes before our food finally came to the table and this was where I got really aggravated after having gone through a couple of cups of coffee and watching other customers who had been seated after us getting their food long before us . Home fries are normally diced up or shredded potato but what I was served were massive chucks that were not seasoned and some of which were flat out undercooked. My eggs were cooked fine. My bacon was cooked into a wad that I had to pull apart. And the best seasoning came from the AC that was above my head spitting out water onto my food every so often. For a place that made us wait 40 minutes to seat, another hour altogether to get our food, the bar is pretty low of just wanting cooked hot food and they couldn’t even reach that. There is nothing special about this diner and it could use a good cleaning considering the spider webs in the corners one of which my girlfriend caught on her elbow as she adjusted herself in the booth. Cramped seating, and in serious need of renovating and cleaning, we will never dine here again.

Tried eating at this place twice now . Of course I’m one of those people who saw Bill’s on DDD of the food network. First time came by a week before Memorial Day , it was closed . Anyway , went this weekend and as expected for a Sunday morning there was a big crowd waiting outside. Got our name on a list and were told 20 minutes for a counter seat . Well 45 minutes later when we asked the hostess how much longer and she had a major attitude but said she might have a spot for us . We made it into the diner and luckily there wasn’t a spot Available yet . Luckily because the place was so

Honestly i have never written a review but i feel the need too. I’m not a picky person and never feel the need to complain but this was just ridiculous. Food was average no seasoning at all, wait time was crazy considering we were told a 25 minute wait time and waited 45 and overall the atmosphere could atleast be cleaned a bit i was getting attacked by flies the entire time. I don’t know why this has so many great reviews and why they continue to have a line out the door. Overpriced, the only diner to not have waffles and average food. Not to mention it’s cash only which is inconvenient. I recommend the LBI Table over this any day and the prices and atmosphere there are so much better there!!!

Wait time reasonable. Atmosphere as expected for NJ old style dinner. Poor A/C, so uncomfortably warm. Food was pretty good, but service not so much. LBI Table, Wally’s or ScoJo a better breakfast alternative

Went here several times when I was younger. Don’t remember enjoying it as much as I have the last time I visited. The food was really good though. Great local diner with lots of regulars. Little cozy inside and AC wasn’t very strong but still comfortable with excellent service. Reasonably priced tasty food – I had a breakfast sandwich with waffles. Cash only! Definitely swing by for a bite if you’re in the area. Cheers!

I could only give this place three stars just based on the good service. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable. The food on the other hand is a different story. After reading so many rave reviews about this place (which I don’t know why) I had to check this place out before going to the Barnegat Lighthouse. I got an omelet with home fries. Now being from Brooklyn, NY I know how home fries are supposed to look and taste. These home fries tasted like boiled potatoes with a sprinkle of paprika for color. These potatoes were definitely not fried or baked. No salt. No pepper. No onions. No flavor. The omelet was decent. The spinach that was in the omelet tasted like it came from a can, which I was kind of bummed because I love fresh spinach in my eggs. The best thing on the plate (or paper plate that is) was the toast. The overall appearance of this place had a 1950’s look that needs an upgrade. Would I come here again if I am ever in the area? Maybe not.

CASH ONLY. For a diner this place is fantastic!!! The food is fresh! The service is great! Clean! Open for dine inside or outside. Their omelets are wonderful. Our favorite was the liverwurst & onion sandwich! Second best was the potato skin omelette. My son loved the fried clam platter (I thought they were a little chewy). Thumbs up to this place. One of the best diners we have been to with regard to the food!
