Very cozy place serving good coffee and sushi at good prices. The staff is very friendly and good timing. I especially enjoy the donburi bowls and espresso drinks here.

Fantastic spot right on the corner of downtown Ballard. Across from Safeway and Walgreens and attached to Target. Vanessa there is WAY BEYOND first class. So professional and friendly Would have gotten easy 5 stars, but an angry Korean lady with no smile and big frown brings it down a notch. Well worth a visit for Vanessa!!!!

My partner and I ordered sushi, but they packaged my vegan sushi touching her non-vegan sushi. On top of this, the sushi was not very good according to my partner since I could not eat mine.

This review is for the sushi – I ordered the inside out roll (which was supposed to be spicy tuna and spicy Mayo) and the spicy salmon roll, and nothing was even a tiny bit spicy or flavorful. What even more strange is that it didn’t have any taste. It didn’t taste bad, but it tasted like nothing. You can’t taste any salt or vinegar in the rice, the raw fish didn’t even have a taste. I mixed the entire serving size of wasabi with one small soy sauce packed and even the wasabi mixture wasn’t spicy. Its weird. The place is clean and modern, and the people are nice, but I’m so shocked how bland it was. The only thing that had flavor was the ginger on the side

100% my favorite sushi restaurant in Seattle. Delicious sushi with generous proportions, friendly staff, and a great location with a casual cafe vibe. This is perfect when you want sushi on-the-go. Their hot-chocolate is also great, and the walls are covered with updated posters on various happenings in Seattle. This place has me hooked.

Always wanted to try musashi but luckily they have this small location nearby! I was able to park at the target parking lot for free (20minutes). The service was good and the food and portion size was excellent. One roll is perfect for one person! Lots of flavor and good meat to rice ratio. I would come back!

Looks like the roll prices have increased to 8.95 from a flat $8. I had a mid-work day sushi craving (when do I not?) that I knew Musashi Newsroom could help me quash. I got the InsideOut and Extravaganza. Rolls were big and so was the fish inside and fresh ingredients. The Extravaganza was meh, reminded me of a Kimbap, but the inside out was pretty bomb, I’d get that again. Server chef girl was friendly and I hope they can be consistent with rolls like she makes ’em cuz I see other yelpers post pics from here where the rolls look like all the rice.

Honestly, pretty great since they’ve changed ownership. There is now sufficient staff so orders don’t take forever. Give them another chance if you’ve been before.

Save yourself some heartache and skip this location. They’re understaffed and force you to use the clover ordering system. Not only is internet bad there but Clover is terrible experience and glitches out a lot. Apple Pay didn’t work. Eventually, it charged me twice and sent two orders in. On the second order it reset the tip to the higher default although it was just a to-go order. Had to have them refund one but they refunded the one without tip and she wasn’t having it when I told her she refunded the wrong order.
