For us Muriel’s Jackson Square is a historic and very quirky (in a great way) restaurant that happens to have great food and service. The food is excellent and the service is great as well. Also don’t leave without asking for a tour, as there are several levels of seating, a ghost room and a great seance room. This is a great restaurant with a lot of extras.

Fantastic brunch! So happy they were able to accommodate us on a packed Sunday without a reservation! Food and drinks were outstanding. Spinach salad was perfectly dressed and bananas foster french toast was outstanding! My husband loved the 3 course brunch menu and you cannot beat it for the price! Service was impeccable and we loved the courtyard dining experience. Would definitely return anytime we are visiting Nola!

We loved the atmosphere and service in this New Orlean’s staple, but found the food to generally feel overpriced for what we received.

Heard about this place from our ghost tour guide who was a local. So glad he told us about it, it was by far our favorite meal of the trip! (And yes we went to all the famous spots they tell you about, this was the best.) We came in early and got drinks and took them upstairs on the balcony and the lounge. Very cool building history. They play into the haunted history but without being gimmicky. I went for the 3 course meal. Great value for only $50. I needed help to finish the dessert! We had two waiters who were great and friendly and the food came out pretty fast. I’m glad we saved this for the last night, it made a great ending.

I started with snapping turtle soup, then shrimp and goat cheese crepes. I went on to pecan crusted drum and finished with bread pudding. A sweet port topped off the meal. This was one of the most incredible culinary experiences I’ve ever embarked on. Do visit Muriel’s. It will likely be the highlight of your trip.

After years of waking past Muriel’s I decided to stop in. I always thought it would be a tourist trap. I was dead wrong. Meals were southern / Louisiana influenced with options for those seeking gluten free meals. The second and most recent visit was during the coolinary fixed menu event. We ordered the gumbo for app, pork chops and chicken for main, and bread pudding and crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was delicious, well plated, and hearty portions. Don’t miss the seance lounge and balcony views of the square! Service was fantastic! I highly highly recommend.

What a great way to end our trip to New Orleans. We definitely indulged and don’t regret it! We started with gumbo, followed by a pork belly appetizer. It was incredible! I got the shrimp and grits, and my husband got the pork chop — both outstanding. We finished the meal with bread pudding and creme brulee. From the ambiance and service, to the cocktails and meal, everything was amazing. It was definitely the perfect way to end an unforgettable trip. Muriel’s should be a MUST on your list!
