I got lunch to-go. A Greek salad with chicken. I asked for the chicken on the side “so it wouldn’t cook the lettuce”. They wrapped the chicken and put it inside the container on top of the lettuce. Yep, warm salad. Not that the salad was really fresh anyway. The lettuce was chopped (right out of a bag?) and mostly WHITE! Shouldn’t good lettuce be mostly green? There was very little feta. I asked for onion on the salad but they don’t have onion. I liked the chicken and salad dressing. But the $12.00 bowl of white warm lettuce was a rip-off.

Not my fave. Pretty dry gyro meat. Pretty expensive considering everything… probably won’t be back

The food is really good! If you like Mediterranean food you love this place. Service is pretty good, however, it took longer to get our food than everyone else. We waited 25 minutes longer than the person that came in 10 minutes after us. When I got the food, and requested no cheese be on my salad and there were bits of cheese all over it. They ordered the same amount of food that we did. Some of the patrons were rude other than that the atmosphere would probably have been really good.

Mumtaz is consistently one of my favorite places to grab lunch. The food is always fast, great, and executed perfectly. If you are into Mediterranean food, it’s by far the best place to get a gyro / chicken wrap. It’s health and delicious and the service is friendly. My only complaint is that they aren’t open for dinner!

We finally had the opportunity to try this place after a year of questing. The hours are extremely limited, but the food is fantastic. It has the feel of a fast food place, but the food is better than most mediterrean food in Denver. Friendly staff, too. My husband and I split the small sampler platter. I would eat here again.

This is my favorite regular lunch spot. I usually get things to-go but eating there is also great. It’s a really casual spot. The food is always fresh and the quality and taste is really good. Cannot stop recommending, tbh.

What has happened to Mumtaz? It used to be a reliable lunch spot when you really wanted an awesome gyro. I don’t know what it is now, but the last three times I was there things were going down hill, the worst being today. I called in my order, waited 10-15 minutes, and drove over. I arrived 15 minutes after I placed the order. I paid for the order, a little over $15, and tipped another $5. And then I sat and waited. 10 minutes later the lady behind the counter informed me they were waiting on my rice. Rice? I didn’t order rice. I informed her of that, she asked my name again, and then walked over to a table with a stapled brown bag, the same bag I had been looking at for the past 10 minutes. She picked it up and said “here you go” – the lettuce on the gyros was wilted and hot, no tzatziki, the meat was as dry as I had ever tasted. The fries were cold. The whole meal was just inedible. So after scraping off the wilted lettuce I gave it to my lab Charlie. Never going back. Ever. Anyone asks me, I will tell them to avoid the place. You cannot blame everything on the pandemic.
