My family and I went into this restaurant in the evening and it was a terrible experience. It was a very sketchy environment, and I did not feel safe there. We changed our food to takeout, and the staff was understanding of this. I am giving this place three stars rather than one because I thought the sushi was decent.

Food was perfect for me and the wife. She’s a big Pho fan and I’m a sushi fanatic. It was my first time eating at an authentic sushi restaurant and I will tell you one thing, they did not disappoint. My Alaska Roll was made to perfection with a touch of the freshest jalapenos. If there was a hidden gem in Myrtle Beach, Mulan Japanese Hibachi & Sushi is it. Highly recommended and we will be coming back again when we visit.

I wanted some Sashimi so decided to give this place a try. Big mistake! Sashimi is supposed to be RAW cuts of fish, explain to me why I was given SMOKED SALMON!!! All the fish was bad! It tasted like store bought fish. Money wasted! I tasted each cut and ended up trashing it!! I would not recommend this restaurant! Poor quality! I give this place 1 Star! If you want some REAL SASHIMI this is NOT the place to get it!! Now I understand why they had NO CUSTOMERS INSIDE THE RESTAURANT!!

I usually go to lunch here about twice a month. It’s been about three weeks now since I’ve eaten here. I went today which is a treat for me I loved their hibachi steak and their yum yum sauce was the best in my opinion. I have been eating here for at least 10 years or more (local) and have highly recommended this place in the past, but I went today and ordered my usual steak hibachi with the yum yum sauce and ginger and I must say it was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever tasted. They were very nice and explained that they have changed their sauces, and I explained that it was horrible and I couldn’t eat it. A very nice young lady came out to talk to me and offered to refund my money which I excepted and I explained if they continue with the new recipe I will never be back so very disappointing. I imagine it must be under a new ownership now and I wish the new owner is the best of luck, but I won’t be back. It’s all of the sauces.

The steak was hard to chew (over cooked!!) Our food wasn’t seasoned, meaning it was entirely tasteless!!! The fried rice isn’t even fried rice. The carrots wasn’t sweet. Im not from the area and this place is horrible. Y’all must not have had good japanese before or have any taste buds! The sushi roll was mushy cause of the avocado and the sauce! Definitely wasn’t good! Dissatisfied and disappointed!

The food was terrible I had one bite of egg roll and most miso soup cause I was so hungry and not impressed, also other person got 2 item combo that was terrible! Within 10 minutes we were both miserable, I was so sick it made me vomit and this mind you is all I ate this day! Also I understand cutting cost but plastic cutlery and what seemed like a throw away container for soup. Will never go back!
