Trucker family! Spent $23 and got so much food I regretted it.. straight man vs food vibe… it was refreshing to be out on the road, receive a delicious meal, and not feel like I over paid for bread crumbs . I never come up here for deliveries, but from this day forward I’ll be jealous of those who do. Took pictures of what I absolutely couldn’t get down the hatch lol I tapped out

Although this place has high hopes coming from its predecessors Dirty Dan it seems to lack everything Dirty Dans stood for. First comes the price a stack of three miniature pancakes comes out to $8, two skimpy sausage links comes out to $4, and three BURNT pieces of bacon also comes out to a wild $4, and with the addition with two eggs and home fries for $7.50. I may be a big person and eat a lot but it doesn’t seem as if a meal like that can justify a total of $23.50 for a singular person to have an adequate meal. Even with that I was eating with two others and after receiving their meals which consisted of Fish and Grits and for a slice of plastic “cheese” added additional $2. Even for a third person also getting a stack mediocre pancakes (The size of McDonalds) for an additional $8 and some mushy corn beef hash was $4. It was abysmal and I’ll never be returning especially when three people ran me out $67. Please save your money and go to another place in the area

I have never had worst soul food of my life. They made a half chicken somehow taste exactly likes the breaded chicken tender I used to get during elementary lunch. Which is insane. I got four sides, Mac and cheese, greens, cornbread, and baked beans. Whoever made the macaroni needs to have a talk with themselves on why they should never make it again. It tasted like it somehow had some.sort of cleaning agent or something in it that wasn’t food. Weird taste. Greens, I looked at them and smelled them and didn’t even try them…. baked beans, eh 3/5 not bad but like something is different. Now the cornbread 5/5 that’s why my review is a 2/5. They make delicious cornbread. It was moist and perfect. The meal gave Lizzie bourden and not Ms.Lizzie. albany does not have many places to get soulfood so I hope they improve because that food just made me mad.

It’s a hidden gem in the capital region. Had the blessing to meet the owner and she is as genuine as they come. 8 totally recommend that you come here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
