They’re doing it right. Amazing grits and gravy. You would not think it’s that hard to do grits right, but so many places miss the mark. Mrs. Betty understands. Very pleased with what comes out of her kitchen. Great menu offerings at VERY reasonable prices. When’s the last time you had chipped beef on toast? I mean, come on, it’s a treat! Do yourself the favor of trying them soon!

Updated Review – 4/15/23: Incredible service! Fast and friendly! Delicious food. A really fun place to eat. I had an omelette with hash browns and a biscuit. Mmm!!! My wife had French Toast, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Everything was great! I highly recommend Mrs. Betty’s Kitchen!!!

Awesome place, very rustic yet modern and equipped with device charging stations. Located in a very historic section of downtown. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating, she kept checking on us too! I guess this is southern hospitality transported to Wisconsin. We’ll take it! I had to get this experience in 4K! To be honest I wasn’t expecting the bursts of flavor biting into my Jerk Chicken Omelette! Highly recommended stop! Hands down the absolute best omelette I’ve ever eaten in my life! I’m saying that as a chef myself mind you! You won’t find this in fast food! Hat off to Mrs. Betty’s Kitchen!

All was good. A nice Southern treat. The pork chop and fried green tomatoes were delish. Will be back to have more on this unique menu.

I found this place by accident and I can say after eating right off the back the cook isn’t just a guy who’s hired to cook, but someone who knows how to cook very well has culinary experience. everything is fresh, with exception of fries but finding a place to not have store bought fries these days is pretty hard to find even at high end establishments. the steak was very delicious didn’t need anything added to it, and the pancakes and just about everything was very home style which is what I’ll love to pay for in terms of quality and comfort breakfast food. the pancakes are a total must if you can’t decide, you’ll want two or more because they’re very delicious and done thin and wide, crispy edges with a great vanilla essence to them, I’ll also recommend the biscuits they are freshly made not store bought and thawed like most places around have. I’ll come back here for the quality and comfort of this food again very simple and fresh and to the point, and most importantly done right.
