Love the drive-thru option. Cashier was friendly & helpful. Dinning in is also cool. Great Subs & Gyros. Team worked well together. Grilled chicken sub is my go to along with Cherry Fanta soda . Definitely a staple in the community.

Mr. Submarine is great! Simple menu, maybe 10 sandwiches plus some Italian dinner offerings, fried sides. But the quality and taste is worth a visit! The bread for the sandwiches is fresh and soft as you’d want, the vegetables are fresh, the meats are flavorful…If you get there after 11 (opening) there is almost always a line at the drive-through which is their only pick up option, but it moves fast. The staff is quick and friendly too. The prices, especially in 2023- are extremely fair-considering the quality and amount of stuffing the cram into that sandwich.

Used to be a regular but service has gone down hill. I would tell you how the food tastes but the last time I went I waited in line for 10 minutes to be told that they stopped serving hot sandwiches 5 minutes earlier. They close at 6pm… To me, there’s no point in getting a sandwich cold. If I wanted that I would have made it at home. They also close very early even though it’s no longer Covid. They had cars behind me as well so I guess the employees were more worried about closing and since they’ve not adjusted their hours I can’t really blame them even though I drove 20 minutes to get a gyro and a Philly. It’s a shame as I do remember the food being good. If only they were still serving hot food 5 minutes longer I could have given a good review.

I have been here several times now for lunch during the work week. I only get an hour for lunch. I work less than a mile from the store on Broad St. It takes 15 minutes to go that one mile due to traffic/construction in the area. The store is closed to walk-in customers. When you arrive, you have to stay in your car. There are only so many cars that can fit in line to go through the drive-thru window. It takes approximately 20-25 minutes to do go through the line, place the order and then pick it up and leave their parking lot. 10 minute driving time back to work leaves only about 5-10 minutes to eat and that is on a good day. It’s simply unmanageable to go there and place an order (if you can pull in off Broad Street and not be rear ended by traffic because you are not sitting out on the road waiting to pull in). I give the food a 4/5, the wait however is a 0/5, hence a 2/5 overall.

The great thing about Mr. Submarine is the consistency. They change nothing as far as ingredients, and no new goofy “lineup” of subs. There’s no need. Just good, in your face food with genuinely kind and upbeat service to make your day. There’s always a line, but they move the line pretty fast. You still can’t go inside as of late March 2023. Get the classic Italian cold, or the cheesesteak and you can’t go wrong. Long live Mr. Submarine.
