I am visiting family and this was my first time here. A older lady yelled at me accusing me of “cutting the line” extremely confused as I was waiting in a line for almost 2hrs! There is no clear path or signage as to where the “line” forms or start. This is no way to treat a paying customer. They only accept cash so be prepared. The food was not great and the service was terrible! I will not patronize this place again.

Me and my girl first time there. My partner pulled up behind me and recommended the potato salad. I ended up with potato salad and pork chops and she ended up with shrimp and potato salad both with fries. That’s some of the best potato salad I ever had. They are a little high but it’s definitely well worth it and I’ll definitely be back……

Amazing as it has been for over 35 years. I used to go with my mom and oh my that taste has never changed. The potatoe salad is still and couldn’t be better. Anytime I need a taste of home, I go back to grab a shrimp dinner, a seafood platter, and a porkchop dinner. My family always ❤ when I bring home Mr Ks. Umum good!!!

Don’t sleep on small businesses. You can eat in or take your food to go. It’s cash only and they stay packed. Expect to wait about 20-30 minutes depending on how busy they are but your food will be FRESH, AMAZING, and WORTH THE WAIT. For less than $10 you can eat good but if you bring a little more cash you can experience surf and turf. They’re potato salad is a must try (a tad spicy) I GET IT EVERYTIME .

I wanted to see for myself what was all the hype about the seafood, since it’s been over 20 years since I’ve had me some Mr.K’s seafood. The website said 6:30-12am hours of operation. I arrived 7:30pm and it was closed but there were people inside (staff). I’m giving the ratings a 1 because of the food and hospitality. They didn’t open until 8:15pm and the attitude was not good. We orderd seafood platter and shrimp and oyster dinner. The food was not what I expected. The potato salad was sweet and the shrimps was not what people hyped it up to be. I’m sorry but if this is the best shrimps in town you haven’t been far. Safe Harbor at the beaches is very good this was very poor. I was trying to be generous by giving a 1 star. And it’s okay to apologize for having customers wait so long. I was hoping it was worth the wait but no ma’am. The crab cake was a joke with the seafood platter. Murphys short order on Myrtle Ave had the best crab cakes.

Wow, went there 6:30 pm yesterday, the opening time listed on menu..apparently they open at their OWN DISCRETION!.. waited and waited no one opened door of business, even though someone was inside. Came back after a few minutes and five cars ahead of me..pissed. Tried to call/place my order before I even left but NO ONE answered the phone.. Waited in that line for virtually 2 hours just for 2 shrimp dinners..literally fell asleep and then worker blamed me for not sitting in hot car previously for their establishment to open and not having the “patience”-lol to wait for 2 hours for their food.. The worker gave me all kinds of times that they could open up: 7:00, 7:15, 7:30 …. Really? First of all the customer service needs to be improved and if you just open at “free will” than post it on the door of your business so that customers can decide if Mattie’s Seafood is a better option than blaming the customer. The food is good/fresh but it needs to be better organized as a business.

Family for us = Strong Faith, Good Food, lots of Fellowship and to Since I was a kid, Mr. K’s was ALWAYS A “TREAT” My Family gave itself because it contains all that…with it’s incredible food, exceptional prices and family friendly atmosphere- it’s only gotten Better, grown Greater…. Increased by Iconic proportions in my opinion.
