The internet wasn’t lying about this chicken sandwich it was great! Huge freshly fried chicken breast well breaded hot and crunchy, not greasy with solid but simple toppings. Seasoning is perfect with a little heat. Lettuce and tomato were very fresh. Reasonable price point and a great lunch spot. It’s a walk up food truck doesn’t look like much but somebody knows how to cook!

We drive to Mexico Beach to enjoy Mr. G’s Smokehouse. It is essentially a food truck type place with outdoor seating looking out towards the Gulf in all it’s beauty. Our day was clear and sunny but rainy days would affect the atmosphere. The food is excellent. My husband had an Baja Shrimp Taco and Ahi Tuna Taco. I had Mrs T’s Crispy Fish Sandwich and chips. Definitely worth a visit for a quick and delicious bite to eat.

Stopped by here on the last day of our trip and WISHED we had tried it sooner!! We had the best service and the best fish tacos I’ve ever had! I got the baja and hubby got the south of the border taco and because it was out first time, the owner gave us a muther klucker taco to try!!! We got three more to go and will definitely be back.

Plan your visit around the days that Mr. G’s is open. Go early, go often. Don’t worry if you have to wait due to the crowd. It’s totally worth it. We used to look forward to getting these tacos every summer before Hurricane Michael. We finally managed to be there last week when the truck was open. The tacos are just as good as I remembered. I judge all ahi tuna tacos on a scale of 1 to Mr. G’s. The other tacos are also great!

Mr. G’s has some of the best food on the Gulf Coast, or any coast for that matter. During vacation, my family picks it up for lunch on the beach every day they are open. The chicken sandwich and steak taco are unreal. I’m from NC and all year I long for the week we are back in Mexico Beach to eat here again!

Beach view, casual food truck, and amazing chicken salad sandwiches. We go every time we’re in the Mexico beach area. He says he’s closing up at this location at the end of August ’23. So get it while the gettin’ is good!

These tacos are Amazing! Our group tried almost all of them and loved them! I loved the South of the Border, spicy! The Mother Clucker and Ahi Tuna tacos were great!

The Fried Chicken Sandwich, what a game-changer! Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, with a kick of spice that makes you go, “Hey, I see you there!” It’s got a bit of a zing, but nothing too crazy. Feels like a bear hug from an old friend.

Sunday Sunday Sunday! Only on this day of the week your mouth can have the pleasure of tasting Mister G’s marinated ribeye steak taco. Cooked to meaty perfection topped with ooey gooey cheese. This is a must have for my meat eaters. Sunday only. Now my next favorite is the fried catfish Taco called South of the border. Very crispy Not oily and the inside is flaky tender goodness. Now for my people who don’t like flavor this ain’t for you because this is packed with flavor comes with cabbage and sauce. For my chicken lovers the mother Clucker is the way to go. It’s light crispy breading crunches with every bite. There’s no Grease residue left on the lips or fingers like you get with most fried Chicken. They have perfected the art of frying. For the people trying to be health conscious the ahi tuna seared taco is the way to go. It’s not fried there’s no breading just slightly seared on a bed of cabbage with a bit of sauce. It’s good for those who want seafood but don’t want it fried. They also offer bowls if you do not want a taco. Your meat of choice on top of cabbage with the sauces that come with the meat. A good alternative for those trying to watch their carb intake or are allergic to gluten. Just 2 or 3 dollars more. Great portion sizes for the price. This is my new favorite side treasure restaurant when I am on the Gulf Coast.

Friendly folks and fabulous food! They are so adorably pet friendly too! They gave a bowl for water and had little steak bite for the furbaby. So adorable! And the food was amazing! Quick eats across from the beach. The tacos tasted so fresh! The fresh cilantro was a perfect touch to everything too! Oh and the catfish bite was AMAZING!!! MAKE SURE YA GET THOSE!
