While I would not say the food was bad, I would not say it was good either. I was there around 1:00 p.m. on a Tuesday. There were 8 pizzas to choose from, and they offered to make anything we wanted. The cashier was kind and welcoming, the 45 seconds of interaction was the only interaction we had with any employees.

This is by far, the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had here. I’ve been visiting for all my life. No more cheese and pepper shakers at the tables. No broccoli. No carrots. No Oreo fluff. No spaghetti. No bacon bits. The only options for salad was lettuce. Cucumber. And sunflower seeds. There was no pricing listed anywhere. And the lady just told you your total after looking up for a few seconds. All I seen were flies. It’s sad. The decline happen right before my eyes. And all I see on here is apology after apology but no action.

I have been going here for years, my kids have always enjoyed it. The old owners retired and things just aren’t the same. For example even if we didn’t want a drink we had to pay for it. My daughter is diabetic and we don’t give her caffeine, so almost everywhere we go she drinks water. I had to pay $2 for a cup of water. Matter of fact 4 out of the 6 drink water because that is what we choose and it was $2 for every single one. They used to have the best ranch dressing and it’s changed. Spinach was wilted. Everything on the salad bar just seemed salty. Pizza sauce seemed different along with the crust. AND THEY CHANGED THE CINNAMON BREAD. Just seemed like not the same quality of food for double the price. Not to mention the temperature of the restaurant. The workers were drenched in sweat. Not sure for double the money and the less quality of food I would go back. Very sad.

#1 WORST Mr.Gattis I’ve ever seen. You never know if they’re open or closed and they don’t answer the phone. Went there about 12-1pm on a Saturday and got ran off because they was about to close. Went another time and they said they’re out of bread and could only serve the 3 pizzas up there. Currently trying to call them to MAKE SURE they are open before I drive all the way out there. Good luck

I have been a regular for over 25 years. The last couple years I been coming. The whole place looks dirty and feels dirty, dishes are dirty plates still have food on them, cups are greasy, no food on buffet and salad bar is a mess. There is nothing that looks sanitized and the employees are not wearing gloves when handling food. Never will be back again. Bathrooms are discussing. No choices on pizza. Staff not friendly, flies and insects flying around the whole in side.

Kids love it. Not a bad selection of food and they never have an issue of making a pizza if they don’t have it out already. Staff is always wonderful.

We’ve always had good experiences here. Today’s visit was awful. Nearly all of the salad bar was empty, what little lettuce in the container was brown, most of the clean dishes were still dirty, in fact the entire restaurant was dirty, no pasta or sauce, just dried up nearly empty container. It was the worst visit we’ve ever had.

Oh my. I remember when Mr Gatti’s was soooo good. We came in at 5:15 in the evening and all the buffet pizza looked like it was left over from lunch or yesterday. I did ask for a cheese pizza for the kids and they did make a fresh one. And it was good. The kids were excited to play video games in “the new enlarged game room”. No. 4 game machines. Not the fun games but the one that takes your money to win ear buds or a new phone. Okay, it gets worse. As we were leaving one of the workers was eating out of the salad buffet with their fingers.. and then ate out of another with their fingers.

I was told today that new owners took over about a year ago… well, are the old ones still available? I worked at a very successful Gattiland in Eastern KY for 4 years throughout high school and college. I was mortified today. We walked in today, and no one said hello. We went to a table, and I went back to order, I was told à la carte is not an option now per the new owners. Instead, make a request for the buffet, and the staff would let us know. We were two adults with two infants who drove from east Louisville because this Mr. Gatti’s had reliable quality like we had in Ashland, KY. I guess this is our last time. I asked for a thin crust combo [pepperoni and sausage]. The woman looked at me like I had two heads. I also asked for fresh cheesesticks. The ones on the bar were old. After years of working at Gattiland, I know what the product should look like. This is why we preferred ordering our own pizza to be fresh and not touched by other patrons. I’ve never seen a Mr. Gatti’s that doesn’t allow you to order pizza, unless it’s a Gattiland or GattiTown. They were selling pizza to go. If the worker called my name, I don’t know. I went up and there was a combination pizza, no thin crust. It was placed directly on the bar and mostly gone. The other stores I’ve been to waited for the person who made the request before placing the rest on the bar. Especially if they used a smaller pan size. The salad bar was a nightmare. Several ingredients were out of stock. The new owner removed banana peppers for pepperoncini, and one pitiful pepper floated in a juice on the bar. While both seem to cost the same from restaurant suppliers. Banana peppers would go further on a bar. A serving is about a quarter cup vs 3 pepperoncini. I can’t imagine putting a quarter cup on a salad or plate for pizza, but I can imagine 3 pepperoncini. That’s just bad business, but it’s their food cost. Our owner would never have done it. If the item was expensive it stayed on the pizza line and people requested it for their salad, and they got a portion. The owner I worked for was very intentional about training and tried to get me to stick with him, a very nice guy. I can’t be 100% sure, but I’m fairly certain drink cups were sitting out right side up as you enter. I don’t know that county’s or Indiana’s rule, but we had to have cups upside down to ensure they were clean from dirt or debris. The ranch was not the flavor profile that I recall. I had to season it with salt and pepper. Lastly, the overall cleanliness was mediocre. The exterior of the restaurant smells like urine. This might not be their fault, but the owner I worked for would be hiring pressure washing. The men’s room had no way to change an infant. Are people changing babies inside the dining room? I’m sure it happens. I think this should be mandatory for every business, especially dining locations to have a functioning fold out changing table to avoid dirty diapers on a table.
