Great atmosphere, good food. We really enjoyed it. Our waiter Mike was top notch. He went over and above to make us feel welcome and to know exactly what we were looking for. The fried catfish was fantastic. The gumbo was, as well. The jambalaya was somewhat dry, but they still get 5 stars for above on everything else. Don’t miss this hidden little gem. It may look small on the outside, but you’ll be glad you went.

Excellent food for a small neighborhood restaurant. Extensive menu. Friendly staff. Free small parking lot adjacent, addl street parking near. Large portions- you’re gonna need a doggie bag. Typical New Orleans menu: fried food, seafood, and Italian. All delicious. A hidden jewel.

Good food. Gumbo was good however a little bland, fried chicken had a good flavor on the outside the chicken. Not what I excepted from the amount of suggestions we got to go there.

I remember this place being really good when we used to eat here years ago, but was not happy with a single item today except maybe the iced tea!

This place may have some amazing food or dishes but I can tell you the chicken Alfredo is not it. Food came out barely warm and the portion size very small. The restaurant it self is out dated from the carpet to the first generation recessed lighting. By the way it felt this is a regulars hot spot but I just wasn’t impressed my self. The service was great and the owner was kind as he was there seating people and all.

I would like to give Mr. Ed’s five stars because everybody seems to rave about it. To me, the dishes just don’t have as much seasoning as I would like. The fish was good, but not as good as many other places I’ve had fish. I got the pork chop and it was good, but also needed additional salt and pepper. I’ll be back because others in my family really like it. But it just would not be my pick.

I was so excited to take a guest just based on my last experience there. This time, they certainly didn’t meet my expectations. The food was lukewarm at best and it didn’t taste fresh. I’ll still give them another chance to redeem themselves in maybe a couple of months or so.

So disappointed! The food was freezing cold! They told us 20 min and it took at least 45 min and freezing when he returned home which was 7 min away! They did not include marinara with cold fried eggplant sticks. The lettuce in Caesar salad was wilted and seemed old! The cost was $95 for 1 hot lunch, 2 poboys, 1 eggplant sticks and 1 salad with chicken! Totally different of prices on online menu!

Great Locals favorite near Buck Town . The waiter was exceptional with a full knowledge of the menu and very helpful on your many choice options. Pictured was the eggplant Pontchartrain. Paired with a local brew ; Nola Blonde and of course bread and butter. I will visit again.

This is a true neighborhood restaurant. Very little parking. Good NO type food. Red beans and rice etc. The waiter was great. You will find locals not a tourist type restaurant.
