My mom and I came here for lunch and it was pretty decent. We got the fried skins, fries pickles and the skillet Mac and cheese. The girl waiting us was super sweet and very helpful and personable. The only reason I rated the atmosphere so low was there was a few screaming kids and the echo was so piercing I had to put my earplugs in. Very overwhelming. But I’m not super complaining about that because kids will be kids. Other than all that the place was pretty cool and I will be coming back with my boyfriend 🙂

Great experience this evening. 1 server and manager/chef running the front and it was perfect. Cornbread and fried tomatoes were awesome and hot. Told the server I was going to probably take the waffles home to the kiddo and manager brought a box when the food was delivered. Chicken and meatloaf were awesome, cabbage and bacon was outstanding. We will return to try the pork chops and the grits…and maybe the sweet potato pie, they were out tonight.

It’s called chicken and waffel for a reason. We got 2 appetizer and 4 meals. The only thing that was good was the chicken and waffles. The chicken fried steak was a piece of runner and couldn’t be eaten. The meatloaf was average and the skillet bowl had no flavor. Fried tomatoes were edible and the wings were actually really good. The floors were dirty and they had 3 servers that never refilled our drinks. Took them 44 minutes to bring us our food after ordering so if you don’t have a lot of time on your hands don’t go! The fried chicken was really good as well as the blueberry and velvet waffel! Sadly will never go back again.

Today, June 18th, I ordered from Mr. C’s Fried Chicken and Waffles for the first time. Based on the positive reviews, I thought my first experience would be great but I was so disappointed.

Worst food experience in a long while. I don’t normally bother leaving reviews but this was just so bad. Ordered Fried Chicken Steak and Smothered Pork Chop with Fries, Corn, Coleslaw and Mc and Cheese for takeout.

First time eating here. Food was delicious and portions were real good to the point I took left overs (I rarely take left overs). I ordered the #1 which came with a “3 pc” fried chicken of your choice, which I got mix, and two BIG stacks of waffles, not flat, but fluffy waffles. To drink was a watermelon lemonade that was fresh and refreshing. Also got 2 apps that were fried pickle spears; they were ok but not as good as some other places, and fried chicken skins which were weird bc I’ve never seen them on a menu before, but we’re really good. Service could have been better givin that me and the wife were the only customers at the restaurant from beginning to end. Over all it’s a good chicken joint that I will come more often

Only problem was a sticky table. Food was so good! Didn’t mind the wait from kitchen to table. Everything was flavorful. I do recommend this place and will for sure return to try more off the menu.

Service was slow but signs on the door and hostess (who was pulling triple duty to get people seated, food out and tables bussed) warned of that before we came in so it was our call to go inside and order anyway. I found the prices were reasonable- more so than I expected given ambiance, food quality and menu options. They brought appetizers and entrées out as they were made, due to understaffing delays. This is preferred in my opinion, in this temporary circumstance because it means each of us got our meal warm plus ample opportunity to sample what the other ordered. Cornbread was a tad dry but flavor was great – not too sweet, not too bland. Deviled eggs were great! Loved the way they seasoned and piped in the filling. Monte cristo was done properly – truly fried not just a sandwich made with French toast and SO good. The jelly/preserves they serve with were amazing! Asked for more for the biscuits. Love the ice and large mason jars they serve their drinks in (better than but similar to sonic ice). Banana pudding was great and whipped cream seemed house made. Waffle cut fries are always a favorite of mine but the country potatoes beat them out at this restaurant – well cooked and seasoned. Atmosphere is very cute and the waitstaff were friendly. Will absolutely go back again even if there are delays. Can’t wait to try lunch or dinner there and would repeat brunch too. Once they get fully staffed again – it’ll be even more smashing than our first visit.
