Absolutely blown away by the food here at Mr. Burrito during my visit. It was so good that I ate far more than I normally do, and far more than I definitely should have. And I feel zero guilt either, because it all went to supporting a genuine small family business.

Mr Burrito is super delicious and authentic Mexican food. I tried the burrito bowl and was not disappointed! The meat, beans, and rice had good flavor and the toppings were very fresh. I also had the horchata as the drink. So good! I will definitely be coming back to try other menu items.

VERY Good Burrito! Beef, black bean , rice, cheese, lettuce, habernero sauce, onions, cilantro with a can of pepsi was 9ish. Burrito alone was 7 or so… So it has its competitors beat by taste, and value imho… only downside is street parking, a fence to chain bike to, obviously no wifi… outdoor seating too, also 1.50 delivery fee

Anything you order there is amazing. Even if you’re not sure what to order every flavor blends wonderfully.

Please please add an “Order extra hot sauce” section. I asked for extra hot sauce in the comments and received only 1 half cup total with my online order. I would gladly pay for the extra salsa picante. I would rather have your homemade sauces than to use Tapatio. Food is good by the way.

This place is gas. If you like pancheros, Chipotle, or qdoba, give it a try. Owned locally and you get a ton of food.

Very hard to find, and park to get in the place. When I get there I get a very awkward interaction with clerck and cook. I guess I ordered a Torta from the menu, and it’s not common. So, they disappear into the back to not hear back until I asked what’s going on. Making the Torta was also an ordeal. Not sure if communications issue. Thought I tried to speak in Spanish to hep, but not sure that help. Guess eating there was not expected. Again everyone disappeared into the back the whole time I was eating.

It is pretty good, but I’ve had bigger, better, and cheaper burritos in Texas. Food has quality to it though. Place is very small as well so ordering to go is probably best. People seem friendly enough.

Building looks sketchy but don’t let that deter you! The food is fantastic and the prices are reasonable. Super fast too, even during slow times

I used to eat here every week when I was going to Iowa State. Since I graduated in 2018, I’ve moved and traveled extensively. Still have never found a better burrito. I miss it. If you’re in Ames, please have one for me.
