I have eaten the empanadas from here before and they are delicious. Today I decided to come try something new with my boyfriend. I ordered what’s advertised in the menu like fried pork belly, but actually is shredded pork, the pork was extremely salty and the arepa had a smoky flavor. My boyfriend had a Venezuelan arepa and it was just ok. Apart from the food, the service was lacking. The man that took our order when we came in was on his phone txting, I had to repeat my order two times because he didn’t hear me the first time. After only been able to eat half of my arepa I decided to get an empanada and he was constantly talking to his coworker and little interest in helping me complete my order.

This place is amazing! The service is impeccable. Such a nice and welcoming environment and the food is so good. You can tell these people really care about what they’re doing. The manager Nixon was so attentive and really takes care of his customers. 100/10 recommend.

So I saw this place and decided to try it. I got the cachapas and 2 plates with grill chicken and 2 sides. The cachapa was great but when I tried the chicken from the other plates, it was dry and we ordered it with rice and sweet plantains ( I am assuming that black beans were not included as one of the sides because we didn’t get that either) and it was missing from one of the plates. We were waiting 20 mins and I was a little disappointed about the other food because it wasn’t as busy when we got there so attention should have been given to our order.

Finally we got Venezuelan option in Miami Lakes, I have been waiting for it more than 4 years! I tried a chicken and cheese arepa and it was DELICIOUS!!! I will definitely will be back. My bf asked for a beef and cheese arepa and it was yummy as well. I loved the arepas are original and they are square!!! Love the guanabana juice… I loved it!
