The food was very good. I had the Jambalaya and added blackened chicken to it. Large portions. My daughter had the Chicken & Biscuits. She also added some fries. She enjoyed both. I had some of the fries and they were delicious. We went on a Sunday. They had live music which was a nice touch. It was a little loud. It made talking at the table difficult but other than that a good choice.

Had a nice lunch. Food, service and atmosphere were all pleasant. Really liked the spicing of the jambalaya.

I’ve eaten in before and had a good meal. Today I ordered the green tomatoes blt online, and was called to be notified it wasn’t available anymore. Ok. Got a pork tenderloin instead and the Gouda Mac. My sandwich wasn’t as Desirable as I would’ve hoped. The buns were burned. The pork was dry. The mac was decent. So I finished that. I put Mayo on my sandwich to maybe be able to fix it. But wasn’t able to enjoy. I’d go again , but if the bread is burned.. don’t send it out.

Very pleasant dining experience. The Waiter and staff were very friendly and their recommendations were tasty options. The food was excellent, can’t get more Louisiana than if you go south. I know been there! Try the warm bread pudding with the cold vanilla ice cream. Only order half which is big enough for two. The Toasted Pecan and peach old fashion drink goes well with everything. We highly recommend the experience from the time you walk in the door with all the ambiance of French quarter to the taste of food, you will enjoy to the very last bite.

Our group was in town for business from Michigan and asked a couple of locals for good eats nearby. This place was their go to, so we thought to give it a shot. We are so glad we did because each thing we ordered tasted like it was made with love from scratch. Come hungry because you will want to try everything on the menu. I wish we had this restaurant near us, because it would be the go-to. Thank you, Mouth of the South, for some much needed southern comfort food.

This place is AMAZING! We ordered the Jambalaya, Shrimp and Grits, and the Kickin’ Chicken Pasta. We have never tasted better. The sauces we’re rich and delicious. The food was served hot and quickly. The Crab Dip appetizer was unbelievable! The bartender made a perfect Old Fashioned and Lemon Drop Martini. The Old Fashioned was so good, I gave the special Toasted Pecan & Peach Old Fashioned a chance . . . REMARKABLE! Don’t waste a night at another restaurant wondering if the food is going to be good. Mouth of the South is a sure bet. Must see for Omaha!

This is a really nice establishment to eat at the hospitality was great from the start! very clean, nice seating ,stylish decor throughout the entire restaurant .good size bar and plenty of space on your table to eat at ..comfortable place with great atmosphere..the service from are waitress wasn’t the best they were not even busy long waits for her to come around even had to get another waitress to refill are drinks …the food tasted good I recommend giving this place a try ..I will be giving this a second try coming from someone that lived in Louisiana the last 10 years the food could use more flavor but there is always room for improvement!!! Would have gave 5 stars but the service wasn’t great …
