Always enjoy bringing our Scouts! The pizza and BBQ are good, but the Greek dishes are out of this world. The homemade tsatsiki sauce is fantastic!!!

The food here is amazing! The burgers are hot and fresh, not to mention huge! I had the daily special which was country fried steak and gravy, real mashed potatoes and Greek style green beans. It was amazing. The green beans were so good I had to order a second helping. This is one place you don’t want to miss!!!

Stopped in on recommendation from a friend about how great it was. Sadly it seems the owner has changed and it has gone straight downhill since. After receiving absolutely terrible unsweet and bitter “sweet tea” I asked for a Sprite instead and was given one no problem. Then the food came and it was not very good at all. I got the combo plate with ribs, chicken, and shredded BBQ. The chicken was decent, but the ribs and BBQ were just disgusting. We let the waitress know and she was very sweet and understanding. She said she would ask the owner to take care of us. We left without eating and went to checkout. The owner started fussing and arguing with us insisting that the food was good and proceeded to ring up the meal at a full priced $40. This was completely outrageous and made our very enjoyable vacation quickly sour.

Third time here. Ordered a pork sandwich with home made chips. The pork was cold and the chips were not made to order, also cold. Took 20 min to get my order the first time with only four other customers inside. The port sandwich came back but did not taste good. Could not eat it. I got a cheese burger with fries next. Fries were LIMP and somewhat cold. The burger was alright but left about a quarter of it on the plate. The manger/owner came over and apologized and did not charge me. NOT THAT I WAS GOING TO PAY. I talked with the server who also was very apologetic. She stated that they were closing the doors in October 2018. I tipped the server because none of this was her fault.

The food is really good at this family run restaurant. The building is oddly shaped for a restaurant. Once through the front door you are in a long hallway. Sign points to another door that takes you to the restaurant. Food is a strange mix of BBQ and Greek gyros. I found both to be well prepared. Owner takes phone orders and struggles to understand the callers. Try the BBQ with their spicy sauce.

We arrived at 8pm on our motorcycles and someone came out to the parking lot while we were getting our gear off. Told us they closed in 30 min so if we wanted to eat we better hurry. We quickly got the gear off. The food tasted like it was unseasoned microwaved meat. Horrible, we will never go back again.

Bottom Line: We have passed this place no less then 100 times driving between Asheville (where we live) and Atlanta and finally stopped by. So glad we did and it may become a regular stop on our frequent trips. Lots of menu options (from BBQ to pizza and even a gyro if you want it!). Hometown feel BBQ and Pizza joint with a relaxed atmosphere… sounds good to me. See you there!

You will love the Mountain Man Grill. Jimmy serves great BB-Q, Pizza , Beer, Wings, and Burgers . I have known the owners for many years and this a great place to eat. The quality, quantity, and prices will be very hard to beat. I love coming here great atmosphere and great staff makes this place rock.

From the road, this restaurant looks like a pit bbq style food. It was a hodgepodge type place, seeming to specialize in pizza. The special of the day was fried cod basket & pork sandwich. I ordered the sandwich with hand cut potato chips (Lay’s kettle). I’ve bought better pork in a can. My husband’s meal was more of the same, although his burger looked considerably more appetizing. Hamburger was very overcooked with more brioche style bun than meat. On the bright side, staff was courteous & friendly. I hope this family owned establishment can serve appealing eats one day.
