We came here to have a few drinks, and everything was fine until the whole security team tag-teamed my brother in the restroom accusing him of “doing blow” and escourted him out. We are all Mexican and since we walked in were being monitored with having security guards even on the top of the stairs just looking at us. The place was almost empty when we walked in as soon as it got a bit more people this happened. We are feeling very discriminated and stereotyped. We ended up finishing up the night after this sour moment.

This has always been a great bar in my book. Food and service is excellent and the drinks are on point. My only item to note is that the place is starting to show some wear and tear in the years I’ve been visiting, and it might be time for a little TLC. Can’t wait to visit again- one of our favorite Slo hangouts!

Would give a 0 if I could. Weird ahh manager came up to me thinking my id was fake so they legit yapped my id from me and snapped it in half. Now I gotta pay 80 dollars for a new one :/ never come here again

I went to this place for the first time on March 25th with a friend who had frequented it when he was in college. I am 25 years old but I do admittedly look young. When we showed up to the bar, the bartender asked to check our IDs which was normal. When checking my friend’s ID, my friend made a joke to her, but she didn’t respond or even acknowledge it. When she went to check my ID, which is a new Real ID from California, she suddenly left to the back to speak to other people. When she came back, she told me that if I really thought that my ID was a not a fake ID (as she is bending my ID back and forth really hard) she would have to call the cops for them to confirm. Otherwise she would not give it back. I told her that that was ridiculous and to check again but she was convinced it was a fake ID so I told her to call the cops. After 15 minutes the cop finally came but immediately told me that the ID better be real or else I’d be really wasting his time. I told him that this was a huge waste of my time if anything. He then asked who the bartender was and when I pointed her out, he called her out by name asking to bring over Bailey. However, she completely avoided us and another employee brought over my ID. When the cop finally confirmed my ID was in fact real, he instantly changed his tone and told me that at least it’s a compliment that I look young. After the cop left, we got no apology or even acknowledgement from Bailey about her mistake, she continued to work the other side of the bar, switching places with another employee. This whole situation was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. Although I understand the need to watch out for fake IDs in SLO and that I look young, the accusatory and aggressive demeanor of both the bartender Bailey and the police officer was unwarranted, exacerbated by the lack of any meaningful apology. I do not recommend coming to this place at all.

They snip ids. Cut this lady’s id right in half. If they did that to me I would not be able to replace my id because I’d have to go home to do that. And to go home I’d have to get on the airplane. No id no get on airplane. Just going to this bar could leave you stranded. The police in Cali said that lady had to personally sue the bartender so you have no recoarse should something like that happen to you. Amazing. Completely illegal. What horrible management. We were introduced to this place by our CalPoly grad kids over 5 years ago. The main attraction for all of us was the “adult milkshake” which had 3 flavor choices and were awesome. We moved to the area and brought out of town guests here for milkshakes. About 6 months ago we found they were no longer on the menu, but the waiter said they’d make us some “if we still have ice cream.” A couple weeks ago we brought more visitors in and were told they don’t make the milkshakes any more. DONT GO!! Unprofessional Corporation who will snap your ID in half. Mind you these are adults running a business not only is this immature but this is destruction of property. I wouldn’t mind driving another 10 minutes to a different location to capture good memories with friends. This place ain’t the worth the time, money nor the attention!
