The food was great. I had the brisket sandwich with BBQ baked beans and corn bread. My wife had pulled pork, potato salad and mac and cheese. Beer is available but just the basics. I will definitely visit there again. One issue was that the air conditioning was not working when we were there. The did open the side door which made a big improvement in the temperature.

We took a detour to come try this place for lunch yesterday, and it proved to be the best decision I’ve made in awhile. I loved everything about this place. The menu was simple and easy to read, you got your food right away, and the sandwich and sides were overflowing. We all felt like we got more than our money’s worth for food (the prices were very reasonable). My son said his beans were the best he’d ever had, and my husband felt the same way about the smoked Mac and cheese. If this restaurant comes up in your search, you should definitely give it a try. If we didn’t live in Reno, I’d say that we’d be regulars at this place!

This is a hidden gem! Make sure you try the chopped brisket, juicy and smoky. We also loved their banana pudding. We tried several other sides and they were excellent as well.

Good BBQ and nice restaurant! Baked beans are very good and have bacon, beef and onions in it. The brisket is tender and tasty very good. I love the picked onions. They only have sweet BBQ sauce though. Decoration is nice. I will be back!

Had the beef brisket with 2 sides. I had beans and smoked mac n cheese. The beef brisket had several blobs of big fat in it, was just ok. The beans were ok. The mac cheese was the best. Don’t drink soda and they didn’t offer tap water just to try and sell bottled water. The meal was 14. It was average at best, not worth 14. Wouldn’t drive out of my way to get it again.

Wonderful barbecue! Full smoke penetration on all of the meat. Sides are fantastic, smoked Mac and cheese, great baked beans, Cole slaw and cornbread, twice baked potato – everything was delicious! Nice selection of beers and sodas. Very friendly owners and nice atmosphere including an outdoor patio. Best barbecue that I’ve found in eastern Iowa.

Incredible brisket! I lived and worked in Kansas City for several years, and this easily holds its own against KC’s best. The meat was tender but firm, smoky, salty, and flat out delicious. The slaw was equally tasty, with the right balance of tangy, sweet and sour. The sauce is optional to let the meat speak for itself. Counter service. Highly recommend.

Very enjoyable all around. Brisket and pulled pork were amazing. The smokey flavor of the Mac and cheese side was really great! Their cornbread seemed to have some sort of honey drizzle that allowed it to semi hold together or crumble wonderfully, users choice depending on usage. I’m definitely coming back.

Very fast service, if you are traveling through this town stop here for a fast food stop 5 min in and out. Now for the food,,,,, Brisket was top notch very tender and good flavor, ribs were great, Smoked Beans were VERY good, potato salad was good! Jalapeño Corn was not a hit for me corn was to hard, but not saying somebody else wouldn’t like it.
