I was downtown with a friend shopping and we decided to pop into Morton’s it was 5pm and we were the first people there. We sat at the bar for cocktails and bites. The bartender was fast, friendly and knowledgeable the food and cocktails were excellent as you would expect at a restaurant of this quality. They have an amazing happy hour The Power Hour! We were dressed a little casual as we were out for the day and decided to just pop in and without going into full detail I got some very rude comments from the doorman. It’s 2023 and LA is a little more casual in general! plus the restaurant has a pizza and coffee fast food chain on either side of it and a lot of scary people outside. While I would never go in dressed as casually for a dinner in the main restaurant……maybe it’s time to lighten up on the dress code for happy hour at the bar. Don’t want to make that part of the experience the entire review as the food, cocktail, decor and service from the bartender was 5 star excellent!

The ambience and service is traditional steak house and completely solid. The lack of windows makes it feel a bit claustrophobic but the place is large and the seating comfortable.

I was hesitant about writing a review but after careful consideration, I decided to warn the public on the unprofessional staff that works in this public establishment. On Saturday, July 1, 2023, my daughter and son celebrated their 7 year anniversary at Morton’s Steakhouse. She made the reservation so they were aware that a large party would be arriving. When I arrived, some of the party was at the bar, so I decided to stop to order me a cocktail. After getting my cocktail, I entered the room that was reserved for the party and the staff was putting down appetizers. I asked was more coming out? Her reply to me was so you see any more coming out? My reply was, I don’t know I just arrived and then her response was “neither do I.” So as to not mess up my daughter evening I took my seat.

Andrew the bartender is the best! Service is consistent and very tailoring to each customer. The food is amazing. Sometimes I come just for the mushroom mix, but the lamb chops are the best when I want meat. The burger..,, forget about it. Definitely my option on cheat day 🙂

Pass on the seafood tower .. place was very dim and really loud . Some people need to be cut off when you can hear them across the room that’s when it’s time for them to go. Service was slow but steak was good !! Prices were good so everyone is now trying to go

We enjoyed our early dinner at Morton’s. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is cozy. Our server, Zoe was cheerful and very attentive. We enjoyed a Filet Mignon Sandwich, a delicious burger and Banana Cheesecake. Well worth a visit.

Crazy expensive but they have a great power hour if you’re trying to save a little on the drinks, food was delicious.

As a big Ruth’s Chris fan, I was eager to try Morton’s for the first time. I have to admit I was disappointed, particularly by the food. The prices reflect a quality that was not met. Our steaks were nice cuts of filet, but the seasoning was heavy on the pepper and generally off putting. We had the bacon-wrapped scallops for an appetizer, which were soggy, and the expensive sides were nothing special. The waitress seemed nervous (maybe new?) and kept leaving the giant menus instead of taking them, which felt awkward. By dessert we were just ready to get out of there. Good ambience for a date, but for the same price I would recommend Ruth’s Chris or another steakhouse instead.

The place was empty and only had a couple of tables that we could see but but it was midweek. The place was very dark and we had to use our phones to read the menu. The food was lovely and big portions, but steak over seasoned for me. The staff were great.
