This is the very definition of a mom & pop place. The staff is the friendliest around and your coffee mug will not go unfulfilled. This is a popular place and doesn’t have a lot of seating, so you want to get their early, especially on the weekends if you don’t want to wait.The food was not that great in my opinion, but I know that the locals love it. The coffee isn’t bad and I would give it two stars, but the staff makes up for it and I know they are working hard. I liked the quotes about coffee on the menu and it’s cozy enough to meet a friend for coffee and a chat.

Stopped for breakfast at Morning Side Cafe. The food was good. Eggs were cooked as requested. Bacon was good. French toast was good. He tried their chopped ham, scrambled eggs, & hash browns. He liked all of it.

Great breakfast spot. We did have to wait a little bit for service because it was Sunday morning and super busy, but once we put our order in our food arrived quickly. We had steak and eggs, sausage and cheese omelette, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The coffee and hit chocolate were also good.

We used to really enjoy coming here, but the last 3-4 times have been bad. Service is terrible. The staff really do act like you being there is a serious bother. On top of that, the wait staff talk so poorly about each other for the entire restaurant to hear. There was a server that we liked, but she made a personal choice for her future and left, and the staff talked so poorly about her doing so. Wait staff will also open carry while being less than friendly to your face. The food used to be good, but a lot of what we had in previous visits seemed like it was microwaved and gelatinous. Many of the servers will ignore messy tables, their customers, and barely make an effort to be nice and will sit outside smoking cigarettes instead. So yeah, it is a mom and pop restaurant if mom and pop are awful patents. I wouldn’t recommend this diner to people I disliked. Bad food, bad service, there are plenty of other good options in town that won’t make your being there seem like a hassle!

It was super packed and busy! The servings were A LOT bigger than expected! The cinnamon roll especially was listed as a side, but it was huge! The waitresses were nice and refilled coffee. The service was good during a really busy time.

We were the only 2 people in there at first. Waited for 30 mins only to realize he had only half the order done. We ordered the most basic meal on the menu. 2 eggs, toast and hash browns. He was agitated and definitely didn’t seem sober. very disappointed bc we always go there and have a good experience. No longer will be going back.

Used to be really good, only 2 people at 1 table yet all tables were dirty. Waitress actually sat down at our table,inappropriate.. cook outside, took her 30 minutes to come inside and start cooking. I’ll never go back!

This is a great breakfast and lunch place. It’s small but very popular with locals. Our breakfast was large and tasty. There’s a John Wayne theme which we enjoyed. The corned beef hash is the best we have had.
