Loved our dinner at Morenos! Wife had steak tacos and I had the quesabirra tacos. Both were excellent. Lots of meat. Served hot and full of flavor. The rice and beans are quality – not like that cheap kind most Mexican restaurants serve. Chips are tasty and the full salsa bar was fun to try a bunch of different ones. Will def be back – weekly if they start serving fresh margaritas!

Oh my gosh! Fantasticcccc authentic Mexican food! Our entire family loved it! We stopped in for a quick bite…so only ordered steak & chicken tacos. We tried every salsa on the salsa bar…such great variety! Service was perfection!

Excellent food and stands above so many other places trying to be authentic. The family is literally right there cooking and serving the food in old town Lamont. The salsa bar is a great idea. I am familiar with great Mexican food in other areas of the country, especially out west, and this is right up there with the best. A rare find for the Chicago suburbs where decent Mexican food is hard to find.

Tacos were delicious! Street taco style with small tortillas. Shrimp and chicken both fresh and flavorful! A unique “salsa bar” offering 8 different salsas for dipping homemade tortilla chips in, or pouring over any entree! Very friendly staff. I’ll be back!

Okay, so before you go. You need to realize this is a small family owned restaurant. It is authentic and the salsa bar makes it a little bit more Southwest of an atmosphere.

Not sure how the reviews are so high, that is the reason we decided to try it. Service awful and not one thing we ordered was any good. Kids tacos had no taste, burrito was pretty bad and mostly tomatoes. Tasted like an odd spice I couldn’t identify. Quesabirrias was extremely greasy but no other taste. Everything pretty much went uneaten. Unfortunately would never go back
