This is absolutely one of the best spots for Mediterranean food and the guy that runs the truck knows it. Fantastic food at solid prices and great portions. We were in line behind a lady who’s been coming here multiple times a week for YEARS. Hummus so good I could hear my ancestors singing. 11/10, would recommend literally anything on the menu.

Owner/cook was very friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. Ordered gyro wrap and dolmades, but he gave me a taste of the falafel too. All really flavorful!

My children and I were passing through Portland from the Seattle area around dinner time and we stumbled upon the Moonlight Mediterranean Food Cart. I was so excited to see food truck style food (my favorite), especially gyros, and wanted to share my love for this style food with my children. My daughter ordered the chicken and rice, my son the chicken gyro, and myself having the lamb gyro. The (I assume to be owner of the food cart) cooking and I had a great conversation and he even let me sample the chicken for a flavor check before plating it. He asked me to trust him and have him make the chicken wrap and lamb wrap instead of the gyro style; and wow was I blown away with the flavor and love that went into the food he presented to my children and I! He even dished up a container of tzatziki sauce for me after I expressed a deep love for it. Such an wonderful and delicious experience we had there. My children even told me he was the nicest man they had met recently. I can’t wait to go back just to stop by his food cart again. You won’t be disappointed in your experience here. I strongly recommend stopping and checking it out for yourself!

Had the Lamb gyro saj, absolutely delicious. If I make it back to Portland at a late hour again I’ll 100% come back here for food. Not sure of the hours but I got it at midnight so I think the hours may be a bit off. Hats off to the cook tho, fantastic!!

I regret that I live 4 hours from this place, excellent food, service, as well as it being more than my wife and I could eat. I can’t imagine ever being in downtown Portland again, but if I ever find myself here, I’ll definitely be dropping my Moonlight Mediterranean again! There were several other Mediterranean food trucks/carts around, no idea if they were good, but after eating here, I see no reason to try anyone else. Oh, and that humus? I could eat it until I exploded. I’ve never had such a creamy tasty humus before… it’s almost worth a trip just for that!

I drove out 15 minutes on a whim without disappointment. In my opinion this late night raw food cart urban life is beautiful and this place sinks it in. For a lamb gyro, it’s massive and the tzatziki has a kick. It encompasses what i want in a completely sporadically chosen meal on a portland friday night and it’s worth a try whether you’re around here or 20 miles away feeling daring and human to try food made for those who live for the night.

The best falafel wraps and dolma and the best guy with a humor who’s making them. I wanted to find a late night eatery last 11pm while crossing Portland and glad to have stumbled upon this food truck. Tried Mediterranean from both food trucks in this area and this one, even though less popular, was far better!! Vegetarian options also available. Tried the falafel wrap and dolma. The falafel literally melts in your mouth and the hummus is super creamy. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!
