My family and I stayed at the Moody’s Cabins (which, if you do not know, is located right up the hill above where the Moody’s Diner is) and every day we were there, we visited the diner for breakfast and dinner. Since we were already staying at the cabins, we were given a discount for our orders at the diner.

We stopped for lunch. A cup of haddock chowder, warm biscuits with butter, and a slice of pie. It’s always so delicious. All of the pies are homemade. I usually get the Lemon Meringue (photo below). The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They have been a family business since 1927.

Real Maine diner! Food was good but you are going for the history and the environment. Old bar seating and booths plenty of room when I was there. Waitress was quick food was quick, cooked as asked and hot. The real gem is their homemade pies! That is a lost art at restaurants nowadays my strawberry rhubarb pie was amazing flaky crust and the filling was at least 3 inches thick. If you’re in the area go!!!
