MOOCHIE’s Meatballs and More was born in September 2003, serving fresh homemade Italian food and the best Philly Cheesesteaks and meatball sandwiches in Utah. Where did the name “Moochie’s” come from? It’s a nickname Joanna got from her dad that comes from an Italian word we can’t figure out how to spell. I got the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms and bell pepper. It was pretty good with jalapeno sauce. The sandwich was massive. I ordered the 12″. Too bad they don’t have jalapenos to add to the sandwich. Overall, it was good. A friend of mine recommended the meatball sub. He said that’s pretty tasty too.

I rarely have meatballs and sauce because it never can beat my mother’s cooking. Having said that, Moochies equalled my mother’s recipe . This is a three napkin meatballs and sauce sandwich. Don’t wait too long to eat it, otherwise the bread will be completely soggy. The meatballs had a good taste, nicely seasoned. The tomato sauce had a nice balance of tangy tomato and sweetness. I walked over a mile from my hotel to get there and it was well worth it. Definitely going back to try the Philly cheese steak.

After seeing this on Triple D, we decided to try. Save yourself the trouble. Food was terribly bland. Philly had the smallest amount of meat that I’ve ever had on a sandwich. Meatball sub was just as bad. Just don’t. Staff was friendly and store was clean. The only good things I have to say.

I got the special of the day (Chile Philly) with onions rings and it was delicious. Even better with their jalapeno fry sauce. Definitely worth a visit. Indoor dining is small but it would be easy to take and eat somewhere else. I’ll be going back here often hopefully.

Customer service was stellar! Our order was ready with a quickness. I ordered Moochies Authentic Philly and it was super delicious. The rib eye beef slice to perfection and tender, the peppers aldente roasted just right, and the cheeses -I added provolone- creamy and gooey. I also order the 50/50 fries. I love sweet potato fries and getting a boat with both SPF and regular french was golden. Next I’m trying the Chili Philly

Really great place, just so busy it’s hard to get their attention. They are running back and forth so I had to kind of yell to have them look at me. But the Reuben sandwich as usual was AMAZING!!!!! Their sandwiches in general never let me down. But Reuben is my favorite. And the employees are very kind. Never make a fuss for my interrupting their flow. And the restaurant in and of itself is always popping. Most orders are take out so there is always a place for me to sit. Typically come during lunch time whenever I work from my downtown office (work remote most of the time).

I did not have a good experience with the older woman at the counter. As soon as I walked in, she was already staring disapprovingly at me. I have tattoos and colored hair. I had never been to this establishment before, and was not sure how to state my order. She was incredibly rude about it, and made it clear she didn’t care about my business. I don’t believe this interaction was because she was having a rough day, and she was overly polite to a group of who appeared to be LDS men.

It’s been a few years since we’ve come but we always get the Philly cheesesteak when we do. So good with the jalapeño sauce. Not a lot of tables inside but plenty outside on their patio. Many of the outside tables have umbrellas which was nice. Definitely want to come back and try many of their menu items, especially their meatballs.
