For those of us who have spent time in the Middle East (Not Chicago!!) you know how hard it is to find authentic Middle Eastern Food. This is the real deal. The best gyros I’ve had in years. Don’t be put off by the exterior, just keep walking in past the hookah pipes and order something amazing. This is not Carmel tourist food…this is local and authentic. Well done!!

AWESOME!! Came here on a recommendation from a friend and WOW! This little hole in the wall is worth it! It is also a little store with Greek and Lebanese? food stuffs. We got takeout but there are a couple little tables with seating outside as well. A lovely man made us HUGE Gyros! One can easily feed 2 people. We also ordered a salad and got some Tabula (sp?) And homemade hummus with it as a bonus. The desserts we tried were yummy too. All of it was delicious and all of it was made by the nicest man ever. Thank you

The gyro shawarma was amazing, probably the best shawarma I’ve eaten in California. This place looks frozen in time, but the food is delicious. The servings are large, enough for 2 people.

I guess the only halal place in Monterey bay area. The food was great in taste though. A few seatings as well. We bought chicken and beef shawarma platters for $14.99 each. Parking is on the street. Owner was friendly.

We stopped by this place for a takeaway. Food was freshly made. We ordered chicken and beef/lamb gyro platters. Was better than halal carts in NYC. The shop also sells middle eastern grocery , bread and halal meat. Near to the beach.

After driving past the place dozens of times, I decided to finally stop in, and I was blown away. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter for $12.99, was impressed to see the owner make the shawarma from scratch- mixing the fresh chicken with the seasonings. The portion was huge, and the food was delicious. I’m only upset I haven’t come here sooner, with only 2 months left in the area. Will definitely come back.

I was in the area and this was just a place that came up, based on the reviews I knew I had to try. It is a hidden gem in the city of seaside. Mike the owner is such a nice guy, I got the chicken Shawarma and it was the best Shawarma I’ve had, moist perfect sized chunks of chicken flavored in numerous spices, the rice was SO flavorful, not sure what the rice was flavored with, maybe saffron? It comes topped with a delicious sauce, I didn’t catch the name of it but it’s some sort of yogurt sauce and it’s also so flavorful. Paired with the Shawarma was a fresh salad with perfectly balanced the heartiness of the Shawarma. Of course it came with pita on the side.

It is borderline criminal this place doesn’t have more attention. The food is delicious, the prices are great, and the location is in plain view. I had a massive plate of chicken shawarma with rice, hummus, dressed salad, tzatziki, 3 pieces of flatbread, and a mixture of greens next to the salad that was mixed phenomenally with everything. Food was served fresh and fast beyond belief, I am a changed man after coming here.
