I’ve been to the market before but never actually ate at the location until now. My friends were craving pasta and suggested this place for dinner. They have some dining inside and more spots outside in a covered tent. The service was pretty prompt and attentive. The food was simply amazing! All of the dishes we ordered were wonderful and just well made. The Mafaldine, Ricotta Cavatelli, and Pappardelle dishes were unique in the type of pasta used and flavors of each one. The Arugula Salad and Burrata were a great compliment to the dishes. Overall, some of the best pastas in town.

What a perfect high quality restaurant doubling as an amazing European market. Good cocktails, casual environment, serious food. If I lived nearby they would know my name before long.

We made it to the east side to have a lovely pasta dinner. I got the tortellini special and he got the spaghetti and meatballs. Everything was phenomenal but the spaghetti and meatballs were out of this world. Fresh made pasta, cream sauce, and the meatballs were just too good. Wonderful night.

Still really great pasta, chef-y riffs on classic dishes. They have upgraded their bread to a delicious grand central focaccia – although it still comes out cold. Still a great restaurant. Drinks are great, service is great and prices are reasonable.

We celebrated a wonderful anniversary dinner at Montelupo Italian Market. The Burrata with focaccia was a delicious appetizer. I loved the spaghetti with lamb meatballs, the cream sauce had just the right amount of heat and kick (and the left-overs heated up great the next day for round two at lunch.) We shared the blueberry gelato in restaurant (yum), and got a tiramisu from the market to take home. Let me say now: BEST tiramisu I’ve had in Portland since Portofino’s closed, I was mad we only got one because it was hard to share! The mascarpone was light, flavorful and plentiful, the coffee soak of the lady fingers was delicious I only wish there was a second layer of them! Overall a fantastic dining experience. I only got one photo, the rest we ate too quickly to document.

Spaghetti dishes were perfect ( I like Pappardelle) and their Burrata was amazing too. Don’t forget to try Tiramisu which was supper good. ( They also sell at market ) Dogs friendly for outdoor seating. They take the reservations only from online. Don’t try to make a phone call because they won’t answer you at all.

Small Italian market by day, restaurant and market by night. We ordered the bread as a starter, it wasn’t toasted or warmed up and was still soft and doughy on the inside like it was a take and finish baking at home kind of loaf that they offer in their market. It came with a plastic cup of olive oil. Plating the oil with a little balsamic & salt and then toasting the bread would make it much more enjoyable.

Stopped in for the first time today and this place is awesome! The market is stocked with a wide array of quality products, it’s a lot of fun perusing the shelves. There’s a refrigerator full of house made pasta that you can watch being made at the counter. During the day there is coffee and pastries on offer, and at night they have full course dining (reservations are possible and recommended). The guy behind the counter was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. You have to show proof of vaccination to dine in currently (take out options also available). We’ll be back for sure!
