Called to place a Take Out order. Server told me they were too busy in restaurant to place any to go orders. Monroe’s paper menu mentions take out is always available. Picture of menu included in review.

This is actually one of the nicer places in Kingwood. It turned out to be a little bit smaller and a little bit more casual than I expected. I got a steak, baked Potato and Salad that was good but not great. Another in my party got the crab cakes that were only fair. They only had bottled beer and no draft beer, which was a little bit of a bummer.

Got the roast beef and was disgusting It was overcooked and it’s like rubbered I told him I didn’t like it and ask her to change it for something else They said no I said what can you take off theand said no they couldn’t do anything unless there’s something wrong with it and I said what’s wrong with it It’s overcooked and taste disgusting and They said there’s nothing they can do about that.

Nice place for lunch after visiting the zoo. The seafood options were good my fav was the cod. The steak sandwich was also good. Leave space for desert, I liked the carrot cake the most

Let me tell you what… they have the best spaghetti and meatballs I have ever had in my life! Spaghetti has never really been a wow food for me but Monroe’s is truly amazing. I have been eating here for the past 10 years or so and I have never had a bad meal or experience.

This place is amazing each time we have went. The food never disappoints, especially that blackened salmon salad with poppyseed dressing. The waitresses are always kind and efficient. It’s a great experience for a family.

Hailey rocked it as our server! Definitely try the Deep Fried Crab Ball appetizers and the Mac and Cheese with Bacon…also hubby had the steak stir fry and said it was amazing!

At the start of the meal it was fine and the waitress was nice but I’m still only putting a 1 star, wish I could put no stars. This absolutely ruined the experience completely. We ordered potato skins, which was good. Then for the entrees which is the down fall along with the owner Jimmy.
