I’ve lived in Toledo for over 30 years and I have never been here before. The food was great! The atmosphere is so cute with clocks all around, which I live because my dad is big into clocks. We agreed we would both be back because of the food and price were both very good! Our server was awesome too!

Just had breakfast there….Coffee tasted burnt to start. My husband had the French toast and I side of bacon….French toast was cold when he got it and I think the bacon was deep fried….had no flavor. I had the # 2. I asked for ketchup by the time the waitress brought it everything was cold. I know breakfast has to be quick or it gets cold. We used to like going there.

A lot has changed throughout the years. You have to know what day to come in and who’s cooking to get a real quality meal Monroe Street Diner is known for. I have no idea how it can be fixed but the freaking bathroom is an embarrassment to the restaurant. Because of it i will not bring people there to dine. Something needs to be done about it

I prefer supporting local restaurants than big chains. So when I saw this little diner, I pulled in hungry with “what the hell” mindset. Didn’t expect to be thoroughly impressed with the cinnamon almond French toast but I was, and I was happy eating it. Came back again with my bf for breakfast and I loved the farmers omelette I got. Servers are awesome. As a Michigander moving into this town, I’ve found my go to diner for breakfast and lunch. Thank you!

Service was fast and friendly. I ordered a nbr 8 which was a basic pancake breakfast with eggs, bacon and sausage. The pancakes and sausage was really good. The eggs gave me faux egg vibes. My partner ordered the Smash burger. Although he liked it, the serving size was more like a kids meal. Overall the food was good and we would likely return.
