Fantastic service, delicious food and gorgeous atmosphere. Loved every part of this quaint Italian restaurant tucked away in New Orleans! ❤️

A wondeful place for simple Italian food. Always good, always friendly service and very reasonably priced. Mona Lisa has a good selection of classic dishes, good pizza and calizones. A well kept secret among French Quarter locals. A real treat, don’t miss it when in the French Quarter.

I really loved the ambiance with all the Mona Lisa pictures on the walls, the creepily elegant chandeliers, and the old home town Italian restaurant feel. I think it would be really cool if they utilized the back patio. The service was pretty good. The prices were great. The food was ok. I got the chicken parm and caprese salad. The fresh mozzarella used in the caprese was very tough and didn’t seem all that fresh, same thing with the tomatoes. My family is 100% Italian and so I grew up with lots of italian cooks who all had their own red sauce recipe that were all equally amazing so I am perhaps unfairly critical of sauce as Italian restaurants. I was not a big fan of the sauce here. I expected it to be spicy but instead it was sweet and almost didn’t taste like tomatoes. I would go back here for a second chance but I would probably order the piccata. Also, they do not have central air, I only saw one window unit and it was off so it was quite warm and sticky in the restaurant, especially considering how close the tables are to eachother.

A New Orleans staple for Italian-American cuisine located in the beautiful and quiet Lower French Quarter. Being only a block from historic Bourbon Street, Mona Lisa has served as a neighborhood staple for more than 35 years.

Food great, waitress lovely. Host the meanest rudest man I’ve ever encountered. I’d like my $90.00 back. Though the food was terrific I can say that the attitude from the place where i spent my hard earned money left me knowing i should have gone elsewhere.

One of my favorite go to places in New Orleans. Use to go here when I lived in the city and make it a point to always visit when I’m in town. A very small local restaurant with great food and wonderful ambiance. Absolutely love everything about it. The lasagna is always amazing – I highly recommend.

Decent food, but, for me, did not live up to the hype. Maitre ‘d was obnoxiously arrogant about the wait for a table, but it is what it is. Good food, not great, decent service, not outstanding. Glad we went but probably not going out of my way to return.

Okay but seriously!? This place is so incredible! The flavors and freshness of the food are absolutely stunning, the atmosphere is so cozy and unique, and the staff are so attentive and welcoming. It’s a treat just to be there. Whatever you do, DO NOT skip dessert! (I’m a frequent flyer so sorry for all the pictures!)

Did not at all expect the ‘Upscale Italian Diner’ vibe, but it was executed in a unique and unpretentious way. The portions are large, and each plate has good value. The wine selection was pretty good, and the bottles were reasonably priced for the French Quarter. My Favorite part was that each table had crayons and we could draw on the table setting. They even have cut out some of the good drawings and hung them on the wall! It was fun even for us adults.

When we arrived it was packed and 6 in line to get in. Mostly local crowd (always a good sign) and fun atmosphere. All the food was great. Will be back.
