We were in The Dalles hosting an Open House for our Real Estate clients and were craving noodles and teriyaki so decided to go to Momiji based on the reviews. We had never been to one and based on this experience will not be going back. Simply put, there was no flavor in either dish. They weren’t horrible but there was just no flavor at all. Service was great and we are thankful that they were open because we did manage to fill our bellies but the food was very bland.

An all around great experience for my husband and I. They serve beer. They have gluten free batter for tempura & deep fried rolls. The waiter was attentive and kind. The food was superb, my husband isn’t huge on sushi but he was fully impressed and we’ve decided this was our new spot whenever we’re visiting the Dalles.

This restaurant would be great if it weren’t for the young male waiter being unprofessional and rude. There was inappropriate content being played on one of their tv’s in the restaurant, and as a family we requested politely that the channel be changed. He refused, so we took our business elsewhere.

Ordered takeout and they were quick. I got a Combo #9, but the shrimp and pork were so covered in the deep fried breading that you couldn’t taste the meat. So I pulled the breading off and the meat was super dry. The Kung Pao Chicken had a good flavor but was way too spicy for me even though it didn’t say it was a spicy dish. The pork fried rice was good except for the pork, which was very over cooked (dry and hard). Also, it was a ton of food that could have fed 2-3 people (I was traveling, so I had to throw away a lot of food).
