me and my boyfriend recently visited this sushi restaurant with high hopes, but my experience turned out to be utterly disappointing. The service was abysmal – the staff were inattentive and, frankly, rude. When I asked for a plate, the server tossed it onto my table, showing a complete lack of respect and professionalism. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, and no one should have to pay for a meal that comes with a side of bad mood.

Been to this restaurant many times over the years, never had a bad meal and always leave happy. Service is great and the prices are good for the area. Food is high quality, and the sushi rolls are of a good variety, with their specialty rolls being fun and tasty.

Lovely sushi/hibachi restaurant. We sat at the sushi bar, and was given an amuse bouche of seared salmon on cucumber which was flavorful, light, and textured. The crunch and coolness of the cucumber with the savory flavor of the salmon was a great way to get our taste buds excited. My friend had the chicken teriyaki, well cooked and tasty, veggies were thankfully not overcooked, but crunchy. The roll I had was really good, but too big, and it fell apart, and no way to eat it in one bite. I would go again.

The evening started with being told that our reservation was going to be canceled, because part of the party was running late. The people did arrive and joined the Hibachi Table. Through the rest of the meal, I felt that we were being rushed to finish our meal and to leave. It was hard to enjoy anything. As for the food and atmosphere, I was not impressed.

Tucked into the courtyard shops, near Merriweathers and the back entrance to Bread Alone, this is one of our favorite lunch and dinner spots in Rhinebeck. It’s also one of our favorites for hibachi, which you can enjoy either served at the hot table or at your intimate table for 2. Great fare, excellent presentation, and friendly service combine to make this a great place to dine. Highly recommended.
