I live 60 miles away, but while traveling up Rt 81 heading home, I discovered this hidden gem in the Polish section of Nanticoke/Wilkes Barre. Growing up in NJ, we used to go to The Pierogi Factory, which was in a renovated large garage behind a house in Wallington. There sat three or four grandma’s, aprons on, and they made tray after tray of fresh pierogi’s. Well, I just stumbled into a similar place, but it’s in a house! Dad, and two of the kids making lots of varieties of nice sized, fresh pierogi.

1st time stopping in. Everyone was hard at work back in the kitchen, folding perogies, cutting cabbage, or scooping filling. The selection of pierogies is a bit overwhelming. There are fresh, frozen and cooked to go. I was hungry go I selected 1 of each for the 4 cooked to go flavors. They were fried in butter and served with diced onion. I would have liked them cooked till brown and the onions sliced but they were hot and delicious the way they serve them. Sour cream was extra.

It’s the first time I’ve been to Mom and Pop’s, and I was delighted. They’re just what their name says – a mom and pop store that makes and sells authentic Polish and Slovak pierogies, kielbasa, and other items. I had a spinach and cheese pastie that was out of this world delicious! If you’re looking for traditional Eastern European food, this is the place for it!

I bought these pierogies at Gerritys. ((American cheese ones)) Honestly, the worst pierogies I ever had in my life. The dough is weird and crumbly and the filling tastes like flavorless dough and flour. Really really awful. We actually threw them in the trash and that is a rare occurrence.

Very unexpensive place to go. They have a lot more than you think. A lot more than just Pinocchio’s love the place.

They make the best Pierogies around. Great variety. Their poppy seed roll is awesome.

Purchased some loaded pierogies from a local supermarket. No flavor. Very bland and plain.

Recently stopped in with my daughter from Pittsburgh since she has always loved Mom & Pop’s Pierogies! After spending $50.00 on pierogies was so disappointed in the treatment we received from the owner. Tried to support a small and local business but will never, ever purchase Mom & Pop Pierogies again after the rude treatment received again from the owner.

This review is for Service only. We have yet to eat anything. We purchased frozen products to bring home. 2 packs of pierogis, a pastie, stuffed cabbage & a poppy seed loaf.
