Terrific atmosphere and friendly staff make this a great place to enjoy a meal. The atmosphere is intimate and charming, and the staff are attentive and accommodating. The food is outstanding, a real level up (or 2) of your typical Italian fare. We had the veal and the shrimp and scallops on this night. Both were superb. Parking is what it is as it’s street parking but in no way brings this place down. Don’t forget to ask about the specials and reservations are absolutely recommended.

West Reading’s best-kept secret! Surprising, old world European-style restaurant with mood lighting and low ceilings, ever-changing top-class dishes, and excellent service. Ask for seating in the far back for more intimacy. Reservations are highly recommended. Went for early seating on a Wednesday night and it was packed by the time I left! Enjoy!

I recently visited Mom Chaffe’s Cellarette and was impressed by my experience. The cozy hole-in-the-wall spot has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I started off with an Aperol Spritz and was delighted by the refreshing taste. The Bruschetta special was a standout dish, with fresh garlic bread topped with onions, tomatoes, and a light and fresh pesto sauce. The Eggplant Parmesan was some of the best I’ve ever had, the eggplant was perfectly cooked, crunchy and not soggy at all. The sauce was a little sweet for my liking, but the garlic bread helped balance it out. Overall, it was a lovely experience and I would rate it a 10/10. I highly recommend Mom Chaffe’s Cellarette for anyone looking for a great meal and a great atmosphere.

If you are going to card the 27-year-old at the table, you need to card the 30-year-old too. What impolite rude service that just made me feel terrible and lose my appetite. Do the servers here not know basic etiquette? You would think a nice-looking establishment would know how to be polite to their customers. It doesn’t matter how good the food is if you’re going to treat your customers like that. Train your staff better so you don’t end up insulting people anymore. Truly ruined my night.

My family and I went to mom chaffes this evening to find that they employ one of the absolute worst waiters we have ever come across. This gentleman was very unattentive and was extremely disappointed that we were not ordering alcoholic beverages. He needed to be flagged down in order to get refills on the soda, coffee, and the water. This is not our first time at mom chaffes but this time it was so bad that we are contemplating not returning. I won’t list the servers name bc I don’t wish to mess with anyone’s income, however I would put this out there as a warning to the management to do better. We spent over 300 on the meal in total and we watched as other parties who were of the same size were treated differently than we were. When you go out to a nice restaurant, the experience is everything, and clearly the experience was so awful that it was worth writing this review. My father ordered a seafood lasagna which happened to be a special… he took a few bites and stated that it tasted like there was Palmolive dish detergent in the vodka sauce. He was not willing to tell the waiter because the waiter obviously would not have cared anyways. My dish was good, but I am writing this for the party. I’m sorry mom chaffes please do better.
