I crave the toro and spicy pork broth, makes my mouth water the last time we went, the customer service was phenomenal! We were seated quickly during dinner time, although we did have to sit outside. They were super attentive and accommodating and made sure the heaters were right near us.

Toro plate share size was perfect amount for two people. No wait on Saturday 8-9pm ish. Would recommend the spicy pork broth. Helpful servers and we left stuffed.

Stopped by here before heading to the airport. My GF love their other location, so I’m happy that I was able to try them out. Made reservations on Yelp, but it wasn’t that busy since it was right when they opened and on a Sunday.

Come here all the time cuz wife loves it. Service is hit and miss. Food is great, but pricey for the amount of meat you get. 2 regular prime, an edamame and waters were $100 after tax and tip .

We heard a lot about this spot and decided to try on my day off. Brought the wife for lunch today and we were both so happy that we came. The lady server was friendly and explained how to order: choose a broth and a meat. Simple. That’s it. So we chose Original and Spicy Pork broth as well as XL ribeye and L fatty belly (yes, we were hungry). The portions are large and we were so full from the meal. Fresh veggies and tofu!!! The owner checked up on us a couple times and was so friendly. This is now our go to spot for shabu shabu in the OC!!!

I come to Mokkoji quite often, and one of the only places I’ll eat shabu. I order the pork broth, what I love about this place is the soup and broths you order are already marinated and give it that extra flavor, opposed to classic shabu where you start out with a pot of water then add flavorings. I get the 10 piece regular spicy flat iron been and typically do rice or glass noodle instead of the udon. The service is great and fast and it’s an upbeat place great for kids, date night, family!

Good quality meats. Recommend getting it marinated if you like garlic. I also liked that I could control my own temperature. Good and straight forward shabu. Pork broth is an extra $5 but worth it.

The store design is simple but elegant. Parking lot is spacious for any day in the week. The meat quality is the best among 3 locations I have tried. On top of those is the best customer service from staff. I would definitely come back to try more combos!

First time here and it is an experience forsure. The food was really good, and if you’ve never had it the concept is neat. You prepare your own pot of boiling soup with whatever meat you would like. And throw in whatever veggies you would like as well. I really enjoyed it. It’s a little pricey, but if you want something that is a prepare yourself experience then it’s worth it. The service definitely could have been better especially if it’s your first time cause you really have no idea how it works and they don’t explain anything unless you ask. I wish they would ask you first thing if you’ve been here before and if not they will actually break everything down for you cause it can be confusing. But overall loved the food and I will be back!

Food is ok just over priced , walked in with 3 adults 2kids and 1 baby stroller , one of the server try to make us sit in the four seat table , we asked for one more table so kids are not cramped and get too close to the hotpot . she replied then “you waste one of my table “ , restaurant wasn’t even full, also they use one of the smaller table to just put random things , why aren’t they waste their table?Defiantly need more training on their costumer service.
