So we’re a family of 4 dining this night. Wanted to try the restaurant, it was new in the area and have heard good things about it. We ordered various dishes and it was explained that their style of Chinese food is healthier than most because they air fry rather than cook in oil.

Mogu recently opened near me and I’d heard good things so I was excited when we stopped in for lunch. I was immediately impressed with the sleek decor and efficiency of the set up. This is “New Chinese” so I wanted to sample some classics to see their take. We ordered their “emperor Tso” chicken and their “hei-mein noodles” along with the “shrimp farm fresh”, a noodle dish with curry and tofu and their pepper steak. We had to order a king steak egg roll and some fried rice for good measure. I also had to sample each of their delicious homemade sauces. We loved each dish but I’ll make the statement that the egg roll is the best I’ve ever had. Mogu is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and a true gamechanger!!!!

This is the newest Mogu location. Its on the ground level of an office building on the corner of Kennedy Drive and Motor Parkway in Hauppauge. Its easy to get to, there is plenty of parking and the layout is the same as the Commack location. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is spotless, including the bathroom. I had the beef and broccoli with fried rice, as well as the Popcorn Wontons. Like everything else on the menu here, they were amazing! Prices are reasonable and the food here is better than at other places since its not fried and not greasy. Give it a try, you will be glad you did.

The menus said it was a bit spicy i believe it was the genral tsao chicken with white rice. I rate the spice 1/10 with a sweet tasting sauce. It wasnt bad.

We love this place, so happy it is so close to us for pickup as well. The soups (hot and sour) and egg rolls (especially the chicken and mushrooms one!!!) are my favorite. I must also mention that the staff are absolutely fabulous and always extremely personable and friendly. They were amazing when we accidentally ordered at the wrong location for pickup, they whipped up our order in 10min and were so nice about it. It was so appreciated after a really hard day.

7/28/2023 Wow! This place is awesome. The ratings on this place are legit. Clean, friendly, and best of all, TASTY. Oh and fast too. Don’t think mall food court Chinese, think, the best version of Chinese food you’ve ever had. Though not “authentic”, it is just really good. I’m sad that I’ve only been there twice so far as I have to try more of their menu. Unfortunately, I live 1.5 hours away and am only out by one of their locations once per week. I’ve had the Cold Sesame Noodle Salad, Roast Pork Egg Roll (with duck sauce), the wonton soup, and the chicken Bang Bang Rice. I’ve ordered the Cold Sesame Noodle Salad both times I’ve gone because it is that good. The wonton soup might be the best I’ve had, ever. The egg roll was good – better than most. My daughter, who I hate taking to restaurants because she’s so picky, stuffed herself on the Bang Bang Rice with chicken. To me, the Bang Bang Rice was good, but that is the item I will definitely substitute for something else next time. The food tastes almost healthy as it is not over greasy.

Everything tastes amazing for the price point. Been here three times and ordered a different item each time. Everything so far has tasted great and after eating I still feel really good. With the healthier way they are cooking there is no-after feeling of sickness/sleepiness that you may feel from other places.

Basically stumbled upon this place. Quite honestly we were going to Chipotle and saw this place across the street and said why not. Excellent service. Good food and decent pricing. We went back a week later and this will be our new hotness. I’ve had the tangerine chicken and the emperor to chicken. Both were really good but I’ve give the nod to the emperor chicken. Finally excellent staff that care and understand (we’ve only been to the Happauge, NY location).
