Loved the pizza here! We found there was a MUCH shorter wait time than some of the other classic new haven pizza spots. Waited about 10 minutes on a Saturday afternoon when there were lines out the door at other places. We got the clam casino w/o peppers and a cheese pizza. Both were absolutely delicious and we will definitely stop in again!

Only thing better than the pizza is the service. I sat down by myself during a busy time and had no less than three people and my server all check in on me. Pie came out hot and perfect. Best I have had in New Haven. So good I ordered three to go with me to the airport and back home to Florida.

Modern is absolutely worth the visit! I was driving through on my way back to Manhattan and figured a rainy Sunday would be an easy day to stop in. Even with the rain, Modern had quite the line. The offer pickup around the side of the building and they had a small mozzarella ready for me within 10 minutes! Reasonably priced and tasted incredible! It had a perfect cheese to sauce ratio – and the char on the crust was what every pizza should have. Will definitely be back!

Best New Haven style pizza! Always served hot and absolutely delicious. The sauce has the best flavor- very light. The cheese is melty goodness and the generosity of toppings is amazing. Always lots of toppings in each bite. The have a very respectable gluten free crust as well. Our family travels from all over the country to come here…..California, New Mexico, Virginia, Pennsylvania…..it is that good. Destination Pizza. Monica our server was friendly helpful and fast. It is worth the wait in line.

10/10 modem has the best pizza in the city by far! The pizza has flavor and the dough is still very light and thin, I personally enjoyed that it wasn’t super burnt. It was cooked to perfection. I called to place a pick up order they had it ready in 25 minutes no wait.

We visited this restaurant for the first time coming from New Jersey. Ariana (I think was her name, sorry not positive) was so very friendly and gave us the best first time experience being there! Very helpful with our questions and had a terrific personality!

I can’t tell you the difference between Apizza and a pizza but I can tell you what they serve here is delicious! I called ahead and ordered a small pepperoni to go, it was ready when I arrived, about 15 minutes later. They must have a spice mix they put on their Apizzas as there is a great flavor besides just the crust, sauce and cheese. Wish I lived closer as I would be a regular!

What can I say that no one hasn’t said before? Took my son to have pizza with his grandparents and it was fantastic as always. Modern Apizza is one of the best pizzas you can ever experience. I love Sally’s and all but Modern is an excellent choice. The line might be long but they turn over tables fast and once you order you won’t be waiting more than 20 minutes. I love pizza and grew up in New Haven and Modern remains among my favorites.
