Far better than what the name would suggest. I got the fish platter and it was pretty good. Look, you know exactly what you’ll get and expect here. There is not going to be anything life changing or revelatory about the experience. But if you need a huge plate for pretty cheap in Mocksville, this is a great place to go.

We had had an eight person group for lunch and the service was friendly and fast. I had the lunch special, fish and shrimp. It was fine. No seasoning. The breading on the fish completely separated from the fish into its own pile. Not a fan of the tiny hush puppies.

Our group of 18 was promptly and politely taken care of while sitting in the back room. All choices of food was reported as delicious. I had the Thursday white fish and shrimp special. Yummy. I also tasted my friends grilled pork chop. It was tender and good.

OUTSTANDING quality food. We had lunch here today. BLT sandwich with fries and a chicken fried steak platter with stewed apples and cottage cheese. Coffee was also quite delicious. Prices were reasonable. Food presentation was exceptional. Wait staff (Jessica) was very professional too. A terrific restaurant with an excellent menu and no doubt top quality food in all selections. Visit the Mocksville Family Restaurant–you won’t be disappointed!

The food and the service were both amazing!! Fast friendly service, large portions and a large menu of items to choose from. We had the Saturday special seafood dinner,and it’s was delicious !! I will be recommending this restaurant to all of my friends and family. We will definitely be back. Our waitress Mandy was awesome.

We have eaten here several times since they opened. They have a variety of choices, and everything I’ve ordered was very good. They have daily specials. Portion sizes are generous. Pictured below is the shrimp and fish special, which includes hush puppies and fries or baked potato.

Saw this establishment several times passing through Mocksville and we wanted to try some place different so we stopped in. For 430pm on a Saturday I expected it to be busier, which was fine as we were seated immediately.

This place was beyond amazing. Tylee was our server and she was incredible. I would ask for her when you go. The food was delicious and hot with great portions. The fried zucchini was sooo good. We drove over 2 hours to get this food. 10/10 would recommend.
