Our son surprised us with Mo’ Bettah’s for lunch. It came via door dash and arrived hot and delicious. Multiple chicken choices, pulled pork and beef along with rice, macaroni salad and a green salad with chicken. Everything was amazing. I have never liked macaroni salad, but this is to die for. Nice Hawaiian flair. Would have liked more than 2 types of sauce. Good job Mo’ Bettahs! We will be back.

Got the one with two kinds of chicken, teriyaki and katsu? The second one was deep fried. Both were chicken thighs. Served with hot rice and cold macaroni salad. Also there was some kind of cabbage under the meat.

In my opinion, Mo Betta has been disappointing lately. They used to provide generous portions that made it worth the money, but my last few visits were different. They now use a scale to measure the food, and I observed them adding katsu chicken to my box, only to take some back after checking the weight. It feels frustrating that they are so nitpicky about the portions, especially after already placing it on your plate. I still enjoy their food, but I 100% don’t support this approach.

Ordered thru Doordash. Asked for chicken and steak on both of my plates and only got chicken … even the receipt shows STEAK. So I had to refund/ recorder. This Time just for myself. Ordered double steak just to be sure ( paid extra for double steak) and THIS is the scoop I get ? Plus the rice was WAY OVER COOKED. Used to be one of the only restaurants I give my service to in this bath water town but now I can’t even rely on mo bettahs… unfortunately won’t be ordering again.

Absolutely love the choices of meat here and all the sauces that go with it. Macaroni salad is also on point and I highly recommend getting it. Definitely give this place a chance if you haven’t already!

I have enjoyed this restuarant and recommended to my friends several times. But today, the quality of food was terrible. When I opened box, storng burnt smell welcomed me. Most part of chicken was burnt so I just dumped them. Very disappointing experience.

Mo’Bettahs is one of the best Hawaiian restaurants I’ve eaten at. I have been to many Hawaiian restaurants in Hawaii and Mo’Bettahs is just as good if not better. I always like getting the regular or Da Big Boy (Ekolu) plate. I almost always get the Kalua pork and the Teriyaki chicken. The Kalua pork has amazing smoky flavor and is very tasty. The Teriyaki chicken is always cooked just right. I also always get the traditional cabbage bed, white rice, and Mac salad. Mo’Bettahs Mac salad is hands down the best Mac salad I’ve had at any Hawaiian restaurant. It is peppery and has a great creamy texture. Lastly, I get extra teriyaki “Teri” sauce. I end up drizzling this sauce on everything, the rice, the Mac salad, and the meats. I have also tried their other meats and they are good, especially the teriyaki steak, but I prefer the teriyaki chicken and Kalua pork. I also recommend mixing parts of the meal together to get a wonderful combination of flavors. Try to get bits of Mac salad, rice, and a chunk of meat cheese with teriyaki sauce on all of it.

Great menu. Spotty execution. I love a good plate lunch. These guys make it easy, and after I took these photos the place really filled up (seemed to peak about 12:30 on a Monday). So clearly they’re doing something right. We tried a bunch of items and sampled each other’s food. What was odd is that some of each item was excellent. But some of each item was dry and nasty. I get that chicken breasts, for example, vary in quality. But one of my hulihuli chicken breasts was incredible, while the other was so dry and overcooked that the plastic knife wouldn’t cut through it. Some of the teri beef was tender and moist, while other pieces were dry and chewy. I wonder if, by eating at 12:00 noon, we got some fresh-cooked stuff and some leftover from the night before? Anyway, it’s easy to order and service is fast, so it’s great for a workday lunch. If you get 100% well-cooked food, it’s a win! So go check it out. I’m glad they’re busy and hope they stay that way.

The sauce is nice and sugary, but half the chicken served is blackened and dry.

We’ve been to Mo Bettahs several times and my husband loves it. It’s a bit more hit and miss for me but I love their katsu & terriyaki chicken usually. The mini plate comes with macaroni salad, cabbage, rice, and meats. I love their Teri sauce!
