Mister James is a hidden jewel. My husband and I went there for the 1st time last Sunday and here we are again. This is the best breakfast place we have found in years. The best thing is how they make you feel. We have always believed that the atmosphere and personal touch makes the food so much better. If you have a chance stop and enjoy some amazing food and fantastic people that will make you want to come back. We both give Mister James 20 stars. May God watch over this place as they become more successful.

So I wanted to give this place 4 stars.. simply for the fact I was super hungry and the food took forever to come out (in my opinion). However, it was fresh and it was good once it arrived. The sever checked on us several times. She gave us an update on the status of the meal periodically.

From the moment we walked in the door it was a wonderful experience. Shae was amazing as always. I know what I want from the moment I walk in the door and even with the new people we bought in they now have favorites on the menu. This place has potential, but there needs to be some changes to the recipe and the service. Let’s start with the French Toast, the bread was super thin and flavorless. It literally tasted like plan toast. The waffles were thick, but no special flavor. It just tasted like dough. Now the fried chicken, way too much salt! I was in disbelief about the amount of salt on the chicken. I couldn’t taste the chicken over the salt. Don’t get me wrong because I like salt, but I didn’t finish the first piece and still ended up with a headache. Our waitress was nice however, she was very loud. I tried to ignore it, but it became very annoying. The dining area is kind of small, but we would hear her talking loudly at each table. I guess she knew some people at one table and it was almost a party. They had good coffee and that’s it.

Nice place for breakfast if you want real food cooked with love. We were visiting family in the area and decided to stop here after reading the reviews. The young lady who greeted us was very nice. If I can recall correctly, her name is Shay. She made sure that our dining experience was great from start to finish. Breakfast was reasonably priced, and the chicken wings are a must-have. The wings were seasoned to perfection kudos to the chef. We’re definitely coming back to enjoy breakfast when we’re in the area. I would have posted pictures, but I started eating as soon as the food arrived. Get over to Mister James. You won’t be disappointed.

I had friends tell me why they stopped going here….that wack “hostess”. Now I understand why they stopped going because of her. I just dealt with an issue of “you don’t want me to touch your credit card” when I had difficulty using my card. She’s been rude and unprofessional before. But, I dealt with it because of the food and it’s being a Black owned business. But, no more. It’s amazing that Black owned businesses have such customer service issues! This “lady” is horrible. She even told me “happy birthday” as I left. Great customer service huh?
